an interviewer who allowed the interviewee to answer...well done.
I was going to write the same comment until I saw this 😂
No chip on the shoulder trying to project intellect and catch Nigel out for a change. Knew his place, wasn’t trying to be a hero, pulled off as decent an interview as you could get in under 5 minutes
It’s not enough to ask a question and allow the candidate to speak bollocks unchecked (not saying Nigel is).
All these people need to be challenged on their answers… but let their answers be heard first!
The complete opposite of the Biased Broadcasting Corporation.
Yeah.. would be great to see this with the other parties too
what's Nigel doing trapped in the windows XP screen
He’s stuck in the early 2000s
He is kind of that, Windows XP, look old but can catch lot of people with nostalgia. But try use XP online for about 2 minutes and let me go how it goes
It looks like a shooting range to me. Maybe how he wants to deal with the immigrants?
You know he's got a shitty yellowing desktop at home in his "office" with windows vista on it
@@Jonpoo1 was a lot better then than today!
First time in a long time I've seen an interviewer for a major news network simply ask questions and then respectfully listen to the answers. Good to see!
That's why it was a terrible piece because he allowed him to say things that are categorically untrue.
@@themiddleplace He didn’t say anything untrue comrade.
@@themiddleplace Such as?
I think that critically, it's because Nigel answered the damn questions. I'm not a supporter of Reform, but at least, he answers the questions.
If you're asked Starmer or Sunak the cannabis question for example, it would have been, "[X party] has always had a strong stance on cannabis and we're really proudly to consider our record in that regard."
There is a balance of listening and have the independent ability to at least have a follow up question.
Isn't it wonderful to have a journalist who asks questions, and then listens to the answer
it sure is mate, unlike the biased BBC that pushes their own negative agenda..
Professional journalists usually challenge interviewees on their answers whereas this was just an invitation for someone to give their policy. There's a difference between the two.
@@martydav9475 yes he should be challenged, after he's finished giving each answer. Not continual interruptions like the others do.
@@martydav9475but journalists cut in halfway through an answer. Why bother asking then if you just want to hear your own voice?
You Russbots are usless TBO why you bother 😅
Very respectful interviewer that actually let him finish his answers
Would be nice if he actually interrogated some of the answers though. Too few interviewers do this - mostly because they don’t have the intellect for it.
Took the words out of my mouth 👍
@@Jonpoo1Not that… We just don’t feel the need for Fox News rhetoric to impact UK politics.
@@Jonpoo1
I think Mr Farage gets enough of that from the Left wing media.
@@Jonpoo1 It was clearly meant to be a short interview, so it was more important to get through a few questions rather than getting bogged down on one. In longer interviews I completely agree.
This is how you do interviews, BBC.
This is actually how POLITICIANS should do interviews!!...... ACTUALLY ANSWERING QUESTIONS!!!
what is happening here, an itv reporter is asking genuine questions without interrupting??? 😅😂
I know, it's insane.
And more importantly getting ANSWERS 😂
Unusual
Probably the best interview I've seen. Actual questions! Actual answers! Just wish this was much longer.
The only question Farage should be asked is Why did you want Tony Blair to be Britains 'vaccine tsar'? Actually why did you want anybody to be a 'vaccine tsar' But back to Blair, Nigel...really?

@@Klinsmann1985 He speaks like a normal person, with very reasonable views in almost all areas (please leave your political correctness at home), while not caring about offending anyone. Starmer won't deliver, or even try to deliver half of what he is saying. You will get more wokeism / high tax / bureaucracy and complain about Labour again for 5 years.

If the laws around cannabis are not even forced, then why cant I purchase it from a reputable business that would create jobs and provide taxes to help the general improvement of this country, and not be considered a criminal for consuming something less damaging than current legal drugs?
I really hoped despite the conservative nature of the Reform party they would strongly consider changes to our countries cannabis laws.
I can tell which of my employees smoke weed.
They usually don't last very long in the job. It's not a hard job or anything but you do have to be awake..
We have such things in Canada. They decriminalized cannabis with government as the distributor and licensed companies producing. Now they queue outside drive in First Nations to get the stuff. It’s like cigarettes there are still people flogging it under the counter. The point is it’s decriminalized. Smoking on the job is right. Who worries where it comes from.
He shouldn't have used us as an example. It's still federally illegal here so banks won't get involved. I could be wrong but I don't think the UK has the same tension between state and federal laws which create this quasi-legal status. It's not a fully legitimate industry here yet so saying it hasn't worked doesn't make sense.
There is a vested interest in keeping it illegal, example being a Tory MP who campaigned to keep it illegal whilst her husband grows it under license for big pharma.
I used to smoke weed for 7 years. When you quit you realise that actually, weed is bad.
Should be legal, but people who are so adamant about it being legalised have a problem and are dependant on it
ITV news has just gone up tenfold in my opinion, this was an excellent interview and the questions were really well put.
It wasn't an interview. It was just allowing Nigel to list all the eye-catching policies that he knows he'll never have to deliver. He should put them on the side of a bus.
@@jimjam3877 Actually, it was ITV viewers questions on what Reforms plans would be if they actually get a say in the next parliment, don't worry he won't actually be able to do anything because all of the soft headed natives in this country will just vote labour and then cry about paying more tax and not being able to see a gp.

Exactly- he isn’t just spouting the same pc nonsense and avoiding the actual answers. He just says what he thinks. Breath of fresh air

@@ionlyfearphobophobia *I think due to the stench of cannabis* if it were made legal, (which I don't think it should be for other reasons, you just need much harsher sentences if you want to stop it) it should be reserved to enclosed shops that do not let said stench escape. Just legalise it like in america, canada and germany.
Its the same result in all those countries less crime, more jobs, a new industry and new tax income which helps to pay for other policies.
Still voting reform.
I agree with your point here, but cannabis isn't generally legal in the US. Legal status varies state to state with some having it fully legal, some only for medical purposes, and a few still fully illegal. However, the federal government still considers it illegal, which limits research and access to banking for cannabis companies and the threat of DEA raid is still present. Additionally, states like California tax it so highly that the illegal market is still the majority. I assume that's partly what Farage means by "not making much of a difference."
I agree, even though weed is utterly grim. From an electoral point of view decriminalization is a lot less scary and committal though.
