Legal status varies state to state with some having it fully legal, some only for medical purposes, and a few still fully illegal. However, the federal government still considers it illegal, which limits research and access to banking for cannabis companies and the threat of DEA raid is still present. Additionally, states like California tax it so highly that the illegal market is still the majority. I assume that's partly what Farage means by "not making much of a difference."

You can't sit and argue the social attitudes and laws they have implemented over the last 15 years are on the right, if you do you're delusional. Brought in over a million nons in the last year, made gay marriage legal without a referendum, hate speech laws etc etc etc

@@sirgo0se97 The torys might market themselves as centre right but they're on the left. Any rational person paying attention to the way they behaved compared to an objectively conservative government like the one in Hungary will say the same
Tally up their actions, particularly on social issues and they are left, middle to far left

Have to hand it to itv for having a host that actually lets someone answer. Refreshing after trying to get info through the likes of bbc, channel 4, sky etc. At least it gives us a chance of agreeing or disagreeing once we hear what they all have to say.

I liked his answer on free tuition. It's a good middleground. Reward people who will study areas that are greatly needed in a modern society, and that will directly contribute to the economy, whilst still allowing people to study whatever they want. If you're willing to pay tuition fees to study English Literature (for example) now, then you should be willing to pay the same while Engineers are studying for free.

Everybody has their own experience but I'm employing two women who both did apprenticeships with my firm and, 6 or 7 years later, are both in senior professional roles and are student debt free as a result. They both work hard and I can trust them to do a great job. Neither can understand why anybody would choose a university route; in their case, they certainly wouldn't have achieved what they have.
