Also mate, PEAK chrome cleaner on that face piece will make it a lot more silver, a more mirror finish like the t 800 on the cover. Great vids mate! We build together.

A week a go I got issue three, I got a failed delivery note when I collected it thinking it would be issue two it was two and three. I haven’t been able to find dates when issues will be sent out anywhere and different people are getting them at different times. This was my first delivery as I bought issue one in my local newsagents. I must say not impressed with the free gift I got the screw drivers and none of them where small enough to use yet I had to go digging in my garage to build them issues. Overall am happy and can’t wait till be see some completed sections as issue four will build the top part of the right arm. I think it’s cool how they have given us the test board to check the lights and I guess other components as we go along.
@@jublywubly I call those hinged clamps. But that's just me lol they do look like your index and thumb when you look at your hand tho i didn't think of that respects
@@mealex303 I didn't know what they're called, but I knew they were used for welding, so I looked them up at a local store's website. They probably go by all sorts of names. I have a similar pair, that have the regular wide-nosed end. They're normally just called locking pliers, here, but they probably have a more "official" name, too.
Dry brush your eye inlay with a bit of silver mate and ink in all the pannel lines and nose holes it looks ace! Trust me. Mine looks the bomb but i do like the lip cut outs you did I'm to scared to do mine like that. Lol
I’ve noticed step 13 & 14 in the booklet contradict themselves with which way round the last piece is set... Step 14 and the ‘stage complete’ pictures show the rounded end, whereas step 13 shows a triangular end... Which one is it to be 🤔🤔🤔 Have Hatchette got a forum like we had for R2 and the Falcon? DeAg used to correct themselves on their forums lol
When you build the whole hand, do like in "Evil Dead 2", put the Terminator finger(s) in your mouth, & stretch the size like it's trying to make you smile, & get the Terminator finger(s) to pick you up by your nose (3 stooges style), use the fingers like hooks
That's what I was thinking. I think the novelty would ware off before the first year is up, and I'd give up. Apparently a lot of people give up on these magazine kits, making the companies a lot of money.
Not sure, but looks like the test board is the same as the one in the Bismark build. If so, you could plug one eye into each and light them both at the same time. Nice intro.

Yep I tried that too. The pins are so small though I couldn't find a connecter small enough to go in. I did end up cutting the plugs of the ends of a spare set I had to test them out then I realised that the black and red colours were opposite to the actual polarity so that threw me
You guys are on Issue 3. I’m STILL waiting for Issue 1 for over a week now. Not impressed, I think someone at Royal Mail has sticky fingers. Contacted Hachette but I have to wait 2 weeks for a replacement. Not looking good considering Issue 1 is now sold out. So great start so far :(

I tend to think as the project as a whole. If I were to see this completed in a film museum I would be paying this price perhaps more for the finished article. With these part builds its hard, but that's how you have to look at it.
Have you had any issues trying to add your subscription number to hachettepartworks.com? Whenever I add my 13 digits it keeps saying that I have to make sure the account details are correct and match those on the letter, which they are. I've called support and they told me to send screenshots to the email on the invoice and it's been 3 days with no reply :(

Heya! WD- 40 is a Seriously Bad Idea! It is far, far better to use a High Grade/ Quality Bike Oil that dose not have any of the Nasty Compounds Of DW-40. Genesis Gold is what I use on my Various Projects. I Highly Recommend it! I’ve even used it on my De Agostini R2-D2 and He’s not Complained! Best

Wayne, that's the tricep piston housing so it looks like the piston itself comes later. Issue #4 has the bicep piston housing

Some Bernard parallel pliers would be good for the fingers with a shami so you don't scratch the metal
A "C-Type welding clamp" would be even better. They're like a metal version of our thumb and index finger with the finger tips touching.

You can get it from your newsagents weekly but if you subscribe you will get 4 issues every 4 weeks.

it looks like a WERA screwdriver to me, you can buy them in small sets from screwfix amongst other places, hope this helps
