Once upon a time I could tech anything, anything. One year ago the US version of P4A was released on console. I wouldn't know where I'd be right now if this game hadn't come out, so hats off to you, Persona, and happy anniversary to fans and players alike. It's been a great ride.

Lyrics:
Once upon a time I could take anything, anything.
Always stepped in time, regardless of the beat
I moved my feet, I carried weight
What I could not do I faked
I dug seeking treasure
Just to wake up in an early grave
So I stopped right there and said
Go on alone, 'cause I won't follow.
This isn't giving up, no this is letting go
Out with the old dreams I've borrowed
The path I carve from here on out will be my own
The path will be my own
This is the part where the needle skips
And the chorus plays like a sink that drips
A syllable repeating, like a warning we aren't heeding
Until all of a sudden we noticed it
When the wheels brace and the tires grip
A map we've been misreading
A defeat we're not conceding
Until now
There must be some other way out
Go on alone, because I won't follow
But this isn't giving up no this is letting go
Out with the old dreams I've borrowed
The path I carve from here on out will be my own
A path to take me home
(Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!)
The wind died
The whole world ceased to move
Now so quiet
Her beating heart became a boom
We locked eyes
For just a moment or two
She asked why
I said "I don't know why,
I just know"
The wind died
The whole world ceased to move
Now so quiet
Her beating heart became a boom
We locked eyes
For just a moment or two
She asked why
I said "I don't know why
I just know
I just know"
Go on alone, 'cause I won't follow
This isn't giving up, no this is letting go
I made most of all this sorrow
I tried to brave this discontent, but now I'm through
I'm letting go of you.
This is letting go
This is letting go

It's dynamic, has lots of flashy stuff and is well cut. Great work!
Thanks man - tbqh that's probably the part of this video I'm most satisfied about (the cuts).
I love this game
thank you
RIP P4A, you will be missed!
Good stuff!
Hella good
Very very nice :) Forgot how good Yu's colour 17 looked too
Great video, RIP Persona
wow so clash
such combo
many mixup
wow!
So stylish Bret!
Is it just me or is this combo video perfect.
I just saw this - thanks for the compliment man!
making clash sequences is REALLY fun - definitely the most fulfilling thing I recorded lol. I'll definitely be making a clash video in the future, though not sure if it will be for this game or not.
Walked away from the game, still coming back to this video though! =]
I never play this game, but this video is amazing :O ! Grat work
Sick video editing skills!
thanks man, glad you enjoyed it :)
This is one of the greatest things I've seen.
OH MY GOD! that set of clashes!
Agreed
Remember watching your P4A live streams everyday when the game first came out, and it was still a year away for us in europe. Hope you come back to Arena when 2 comes out. The full day character tutorials and the stream chats were great.
Oh my, I've been training with Narukami a lot more recently since Ultimax is coming out. Its just hard for me since I tend to press the wrong buttons...Though things like this keep pushing me to strive for more, also really good editing, very well done all around. :D
It's also about a year ago that I discovered both this game and your stream. (Pretty much at the same time) A lot of my favorite memories of the past year have been with UBW. Thanks for everything! Lets keep mashing! Never forget the game that brought us twobutton DPs! Kappa/
Color 17 was a special DLC code from an issue of a Japanese magazine called Famitsu that was offered about a year ago.
P4A2 MIGHT be coming to the states later on, guys! We got Junpei and Yukari now and system changes as well! Persona 4 Arena's not dead yet! Also, another question. How did you get that color palette?
RIP in peace P4A. You had a really good run for a fresh animu fighter. Also, good shit Brett.
I can never understand how people could get crossed up by Narukami. Izanagi doesn't attack low. All you gotta do is block Yu and you don't get hit.
Izanagi himself is only there to keep the opponent in blockstun. Yu himself is the one who applies mixups. I don't think there's a single setup in this video that involves Izanagi crossups.
I'm trying to see who each character is suppose to be with their costumes. What I've gathered so far. Yosuke is Jin P3, Chie is Fuuka P3, Yukiko is…em…Yukari P3 I think? Mitsuru is Margret I think, Aigis is Labrys? Labrys is Rise I think?
Labrys is P3P's female protag. I think you got everyone else, though.
Is this... really the end guys?

For some reason I cant reply to the most recent comment, but the software used was Adobe Premiere.
Don't know if you'll see this, but how long did it take you to set up those clashes and stuff? And will you be doing anything for Ultimax?
The akihiko / kanji one took a few hours. The Labrys one was planned by Tari and I over the course of a week or so on and off, just trying to cook up the best recipe. There was actually technically an even better sequence planned but it ended up being so damn hard I settled for something almost exactly the same (it originally had some stuff that only clash on a specific frame lol).
I'll be making at least one CMV for Ultimax for sure, and playing it casually. Most likely expect a Shadow Narukami and Sho CMV, depending on how interesting the characters end up being training mode wise.
what software did you use to edit this video? nicely done
everything was done in Adobe Premiere
what software you used to make this video???
the stage transitions for example 1:30 are you using a mask for the transition? I'm interested to know the process you went through for that. If you don't mind telling.
That transition is just two layered crop keyframes. Same thing can easily be achieved with masks or wipe transitions though.
UnlimitedBrettWorks thanks!!
Wow, that was fuckin amazing! Dude, ur a BEAST Narukami! If I may, for the life of me, I've NEVER beem able to chain, Narukami's Raging lion B into his Raging lion A, do u have any tricks on how to do this? I know it has something to do with jump canceling, I just don't fully understand it....
if you are talking about being on the ground and doing B Lion to A Lion, try tk'ing the B lion. Input it as 2147B. Getting them higher up also helps since they have more time falling while you do A Lion.
UnlimitedBrettWorks just for clarification, I was talking about the maneuver done at 0:46 I believe.
Zvxman Mcwarrior OK, yeah. Just TK the A Lion and you should be good.
