Jesus always spoke in Parables in a roundabout manner, never in a straightforward way as you and others might expect and there is a reason for that. The very fact that Jesus in the Son of Yahweh and God the Son (2nd person of the Godhead/Trinity) is a revelation from the Father which not everyone can receive but those that do, receive the priceless gift of Eternal Life in Christ Jesus in the process, if you as a muslim want to believe that Jesus is God on your own accord, you cannot because it is a revelation (revealed truth) from the Father which only those who are foreordained to receive it, can receive it and be transformed in the process. That is why Jesus said to Peter "blessed art thou Simon son of Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed to you but my Father in heaven" when Peter said "Thou art Christ the Son of the Living God". Jesus never wanted the Jewish religious leaders to understand who He really was lest they would be saved and have their sins forgiven because Jesus foreknew that there were those who were created for condemnation who would reject His deity and His Sonship with the Father.
Secondly, Jesus was an exemplary example of humility, the very fact that He took on flesh to be born into this world is a sign of obedience and humility to the will of His Father who wanted to make The Way (only way) to get reconciled to Himself as the Father promised the devil in Genesis 3:15, "the seed of the woman" would crush the devil's head and the devil or serpent would bit His feet which was fulfilled in Jesus' crucifixion, "the seed of the woman" refers to Jesus because no sperm was involved in His birth because His birth was a miracle in itself because Jesus had only 23 chromosomes and not 46 as normal humans do as testified by the shroud of Turin, the other part of His being was birthed by the power of the Holy Spirit making Him 100% God and 100% man at the same time, God in the Flesh. Let me give you an example here, I am a polyglot, if I were to say that I am the best polyglot in the whole world, there are 2 problems with that, one it is not true because there are people who speak the languages that I do better than I ever can who know more languages than I do. The second most important reason is that if I were to make such a claim, I would be boastful. In Jesus' case, the second reason was true because He wanted to be humble and not boastful, He always let others do the talking for Him but was passive and did not react angrily when people said that He was the Son of God or bowed down to worship Him which means that He endorsed it. Else, He would have told them explicitly not to do it. What is more is that God the Father (during Jesus' baptism), angels and demons alike testified to the truth of who Jesus is- the Son of God and they worshipped Him (except the Father) and Jesus never stopped them which means that He knew what He was doing and that those beings knew that He was God. Jesus basically did not want to be like Mmd because unlike the latter Jesus let others and His deeds do the talking for Him instead of making direct assertions like "I am God worship me"- that is a boastful and proud attitude which is the quality of the devil with whom Jesus had nothing to do. Even if you take the Old Testament prophets, none of them made a proud declaration to others saying "I am a prophet, listen to me", that is very proud and ungodly but they let their deeds (miracles) and the prophecies given to them by God, do all the talking, in effect, their works proved and made people believe and understand that they were prophets.

البريق اللامع Why do you find Jesus's claims to divinity so hard to understand? The manner of speaking was different in those times and maybe the translation to modern language does lack the impact if you are not a fluent speaker of ancient Greek, Aramaic or Hebrew.

I dont know about you but most atheists believe in evolution. Step 1: put that away for a moment and ask yourself if that could be wrong. Then youre on the right path. Step 2: pick up a bible and start reading. I read the new testament first since that is the new pact. Give Jesus a chance. I think if you learn about Him and see who He is, you would realise that if you and the hole world are standing by a river and say one thing, and Jesus is standing on the other side of the river and say another thing, you would jump in the river and swim over to Him. Trust in God not the men that are made by God. If you believe in evolution you can watch Kent Hovid vs evolutionists, he debates them even 3 against 1 and he destroys them every time. God bless you, i pray and hope that Jesus will touch your heart 💚🙏

Plato isn't the only source of information we have for Socrates, our understanding of the historical Socrates comes more from one of other students, Xenophon. Also Aristotle didn't write any of the works that bear his name. All we have are lecture notes compiled by his students. According to Cicero, Aristotle also wrote in dialogue form, unfortunately none of them survived.

I still disagree with the statement though. Plato, according to his own letters, intended to write a poetic representation of what Socrates was like. I think it was in the seventh letter, Plato said he never wrote down a single word of philosophy in his life (since, in his view, philosophy can't be written down, only acted out through lived experience). Xenophon was the one who recorded the historical actions and deeds of Socrates as they happened.
