It is interesting the number of people who have never seen a horse in their lifetime. If people would quickly take their pictures and then move our of the way, it would help with the flow of visitor traffic. But they linger creating the need for crowd control.
Glad they finally put up the "Do Not Touch the Horse" sign. Finally, may be this will provide relief for the horse and guard from inconsiderate people (tourists especially!).
You know, this could be resolved very easily! On the white line, put "DO NOT CROSS THE WHITE LINE" in large letters on the white line, or put a low level fence surrounding the area with a gate to lead guard and horse out during guard exchange procedures. The fence might not be prudent as sometimes the horses get "spooked" by these idiotic tourists who do not show once ounce of respect for the reason the guards are there. Another isssue is that "Lady in Red" who without a doubt should have been removed a long time ago!! Why is she still allowed to interact with the guard and horse and the public as well! Another issue is the individual in black not only is disruptive but even threatening the police with violent threats. I live in Arizona USA and in our country, we would not tolerate rudeness for one second. Repsect the country's traditions (England). After all England is a true Monarchy. I been to your country many times and stayed at the Douglas House on Queen's Way while there and I still feel that America and Englad are on the best of terms and I respect British tradition to the fullest. "God Save the King"!!
Someone should assign a guard or police or any one to tell the tourist to walk off after taking their photos so that everyone can take their photos too and move on no need for crowd control... It will not be too crowded at the front gate
