We will be going to Sorento next May and wondered how to get to Pompeii without an organised tour. We did this before but missed a lot of the site, also I don't walk as fast now. This was a very interesting video, thank you.
@timwoodward5308 There is the train- Circumvesuviana, leaves from the center of Sorrento, and stops right at the entrance to the site (pompeii Scavi is the name of the station). Regarding not to miss, there are guides at the entrance, audio guides and lots of info on the net
Tips 1. Dont go in summer. Its too hot 2. Allow a LOT of time. 2 days? 3. Stay. 4. Dont miss herculenium. Its so different to pompeii and better preserved. A extra day
