Nice High Yield overview video Adrian! Market rally continues, but it does not matter. Just like you said keep investing and keep reinvesting, forget about the short term and focus on the longer term. My strategy is that as soon as I receive 5k in dividends, I will just add to one of my core positions. Thanks Adrian!
My wive convinced (forced) me to sell all our YTSL at 30$😂 I sold it all. Our book price was 17$/share. We will share the profits with Justin Trudeau next spring🤪
Here in Canada there is no anymore drive to make anything. The NDP and the Liberals killed our Canada and still they're in the power taking all the can in a legal way.... 😢
I sold 2000 shares of YTSL at 26.10 just to take some profits off the table but I still hold the bulk of my shares. At the end of the day its Tesla and with so many things down the pipe maybe 40 to 50 per share imo. Its never wrong to take a profit so congrats on that.
Great work Adrian. Quick question. Passive income has been good for some time, but with the pressure on Canada now by the US, I’m concerned with the TSX pulling back last week and perhaps over the next few months. Hopefully, this will not manifest as a huge dip. I’m rebalancing some to try to negotiate this, but am I over-reacting?
Yeah TSX may go down, who knows. But HEY! We are into cover calls ETF so it's fine. Everybody in the world rebalanced to increase exposure to US stocks because it performs better. TSX is good for dividend stocks, US is good for for growth. I'm 61%US, 25% Canadian, and 14% cash from sales last week that I will invest in US stock ETFs soon.
What would you do about GDV right now? I liked it when the Nav was $.60 higher then market price, but now NAV is lower than market price. Lately I've been shifting to LBS and SBC because of the discounts to NAV, but then looking at the LBS chart, with the near high it sure feels to me that based on the chart it should take a dive.
I think real estate is on the rise, not about to take a dive. A lot of buyers have been waiting in the wings for interest/borrowing rates to make buying affordable and are ready to jump in. The only exception is office, where people will work from home if they can, which also reduces office-ownership expenses, but if LBS has any office, it's not much. I just took a look. They're pretty well diversified. For sure, their distribution looks safe.
I am relaxed since more than 70% of GDV holdings are in U.S. companies; the remaining diversified across Planet Earth. I trust most dividends of its' holdings are secure...
I sold my 6 figures position in GDV last week, total return more than 50% in 1 year. I like to buy split-corp in market corrections and sell in market high, because split-corp have high leverage. But GDV is (in my iopinion) one of the best CCal fund and I will buy again later for shure.
Aiming for 15% + total yield now these days is doable thanks to this channel and the fund managers! Growing my retirement income is never been easier until now. Adding UTES this month.
Good buy, UTES is down in the last months : buy low sell high. Exactly one year ago, I thought the same, I thought I could make 14% yield. I bought some YTSL at 24% yield, USCL, HYLD, GDV, DFN, BANK..... many many others. 12 month later, I have a lot of gains in addition to the distributions, my net total return is 45% (...i'm 47% on credit margin so my return is on steroid). So YES : never been easier my friends. Do I work today? NO. Tomorrow? NO. Never.
@@SebastienMigneault That's an awesome return! I borrowed after COVID then paid all when interest went up to 12%. Hoping for a market crash when I finally sell my house next year or so, looking at 7-10K/m income in TFSA RRSP Cash, then use 3-5K and re invest the rest. Excited to know more about HHIS from Harvest. And hopefully, we'll also have weekly payment.
I bought NVHE yesturday, it's a copy of YNVD, same yield. NVDA is down 10% from its peak in november. From a technical point, NVDA is on a support (not going down further shortly). From a fundamental point, net magrin in last quarter is 55% (what? yes...55% net margin). Cash flow for the quarter is $17B and total debt is $10B. Can you imagine, the company could pay all its depb tomorrow, and STILL HAVE CASH. I think the stock is down for 2 reasons : Big funds rebalanced their portfolio, peoples are taking some gains and reinvest in Broadcom (the competitor). So in my opinion, it may be the best company in the history on mankind. The big growth phase may be behind, so CCal is good now I believe.

I wonder if USCL will raise their distribution soon. It has had great price appreciation.
My only regret is not having put more money into YTSL

Great video. I hope RS would also do 50/50 holdings just like RMAX.
Always appreciate the updates Adrian, many thanks for the insights.

UTES is over 17% right now as it took another dive over the last couple of days. I'm picking up more to DCA.

Thanks again.
Could you make an in-depth video exploring the two new YieldMax ETFs, FEAT and FIVY?
YNVD any comments?
I personally own it with an avg cost of 33.76, personally i have no intention to sell and now I'm buying YAMD.

Thanks Adrian! Any comments on RS? It dropped a lot recently.
yeah, the REITs inside of it dropped :) stay tuned for an upcoming video where you will hear the answer from the guy who runs RS
RS in surpringly volatile!
I'm a German citizen. Anybody know what the tax implications for non Canadian citizens are when investing in Canadian funds are? Thanks:)
HHLE is another good one right now.
yes, Lily is down 18% from high. LLHE is not bad as NVDA is down 10% from high. Both are healthy correctioms. What else are you buying these days?
Mine is down from when I bought it a couple of months ago. Maybe I should buy more and $ average it.
Assume stuff as always Adrian o
