Thank You for this video!!! This has put confidence in what we are doing and giving us ideas of what to do for business and to make it grow! We are just starting out and we need all the help we can get. Thanks again for the advice!!!!
Loved the content and tips! Subbed. One word of caution I would say to those entering into this, many states (such as CA, UT, AZ, etc.) require you to be licensed if you perform jobs over a certain dollar amount (CA $500, AZ $1000, for example), and clients can report you to the local/state licensing authority for operating without a license if the job $ exceeds that threshold and they become unhappy with something. Worth checking into your state laws before jumping on the first contract. :)
In washington state if you do any business without a business license or a contractors license it is a 2000$ fine first time donation to the state and then you are banned from getting a license for 5 years,,,, you may want to get license bond and insurance first befor you get a 5 year black ball from the state.
Aaaaaand guess where I’m from? Good thing I read this, selling some personal things to try and start my own flooring business right now. Thank you for the info!
@@northwestgardener5076 I finally took the leap, now have to work on getting some leads! Just came back to this video and started reading comments, completely forgot I had left one 😂
When laying floating lvp or laminate you should be on the material so it don’t shift as much… plus its a better workflow, throw your empty boxes behind you with the scrapes and keep rollin playa
One of the most frustrating thing is to place an ad on Craigslist and other installers call you with a fake job to get your prices! Especially when work is slow and you’re exited you get a call that turns out to be a sneaky person who’s now winning bids over you! Because of this I don’t give quotes over the phone anymore!
Would love to hear more about your real estate journey 🙌🏼🙌🏼been working with my father and his company for about 2 years . Ready to get on own flowing and invest into some real estate.
Great video, Michael. Quick question - I watched your land investing videos - do you focus mainly on the flooring business or land investing? Do you use profits from the flooring company to the land biz? Thank you!
You can shop from local providers, dont go for big companies such as lowes or home depot rather go for the small businesses that'll be more lenient on negotiation. But if the customer's looking to buy from a specific place then in that case you can go there, or build a relationship with carpet manufacturers, but for this you'll have to be ordering at least 1000 yards every month or so
I can't believe you threw that carpet down an didn't power stretch it or anything professional way an the real way to do it kick it with a kicker is nothing but so called time saver they will end up calling someone else to research that carpet in a month after cause it won't be correct not doggin on ya just telling the truth an laying that flooring down it should be prepped an cleaned all of it there is crap all over the floor an will be under the floor an when you walk on that floor you are going to hear all that crunchy junk underneath not a great idea
No kneepads, much respect sir.

Thank you!! It’s about 70% flooring and 30% land investing. I do use my flooring profits to fund all my investments
How should I go about learning how to do flooring?
First job was everything
