Tina, good to see you back. I know you’ve been busy as I am also. I have a tomatoe machine like yours. It is really a time saver. Can’t wait for the next video.
We're doing just Sam Marzano's this year. 10 gallons in the freezer, another 7-8 on a table, and still producing. Most on the plants are average Roma size, but all 6 plants are loaded! Freezing them as they ripen makes canning season so much easier. Do them when you've got a large batch instead of small batches Do them when it's cooler out Do them when you're caught up on other canning Do up 10-15 jars, (if you're short on jars) and can the rest up as you empty jars. or just thaw them out and make sauce as needed. One of the best tips I learned from you guys! 👍👍👍
I am so glad that your crop of tomatoes did so well this year. The heat got to mine and I got one tomato big enough for sandwhiches and 3 or 4 about the size of golf balls. The rest had blossom end rot or just dried up and fell off the vine due to the heat. Just too much money put in them for the cost. Very happy for you guys though.
You might want to tell what you used for a mill on the tomatoes for your new subscribers or a link to your old video where you go over it, I remember your old video where you go over how to use it, and it would be my dream to have one, but for now I use the hand crank one. Those tomatoes are perfection, the sauce looks versatile, what a haul of tomatoes, fill those shelves.
I left a comment the day this aired, for some reason (has happened before) it is not showing up. Just wanted you to know I still want that mill, makes life easier. Beautiful tomatoes and sauce.
Tina, great video! Question, do you leave your rings on the jars when you store them?? I’ve been told to take them off so I do but not trust your decision over everyone else’s! Thanks!
can we can this tomato sauce without so much salt? I have a friend that cannot have salt at all. so, is lemon juice enough? or is Himalayan salt going to be okay? if you don't know, that's okay
I just love all you do and teach us, you are the best.❤
Thank you for the kind words !
Hi Mark and Tina!! Loved the video always enjoy them!! Nice harvest and work!!

Yea! Mater Sauce from the Jungle 🤤
Beautiful job and wonderful video!!!
Wow that looks like amazing tomato sauce.
Thanks so much !
I really enjoy your videos.
Tina, can a few leaves of basil be added before water bathing the product without any issues?
That would not hurt it at all... You could also tie them in a sachet and cook it, then remove the sachet before canning...
Looked yummy
Tina, can you guys do a video on the tomato press? Make, model, cost please.

Try san marzano or italian plum tomatoes. They almost NEVER have issues!👍🍅
Best thing for blossom end rot is calcium (crushed oyster shell) and magnesium (epsom salt)... That should clear it up for you...

It is a TRE SPADES...
Love your how-to videos! Do you heat your tomatoes after you cut them up and before you put them through the sieve?
Do you have a link for the machine your using?
Would also like to what type of tomato press you are using!
Trespades Italian tomato press
Have you told us about your set up for "smashing" tomatoes? If not, I would love to know what appliance you are using. Thanks!
We have, but it is a TRE SPADES...
I wonder if KitchenAid has an attachment that would do this for us.
What is the machine called? It really works great

I love your intro❣️ You almost need a stool with that smasher!
Which is bad because Mark shortened the table to my height... LOL
Thank you for the video. May I ask the name of the machine you used to smash the tomatoes?
Hi I am just checking on you all to see if you are ok I have not seen you in some time my heart goes out to you sending hugs
So how did u prep the tomatoes.
I appreciate you teaching us things but I'll opt out on this one since I only have regular tomatoes and not Roma type.
What is the machine you are using, I was going to look in your amazo n store, but didn't see a link
It is a TRE SPADES...
Did u peel the tomatoes 1st?
There is no need, the machine removes both the peels and seeds...
