New subscriber here! We have a channel and plan to do meat birds in the spring. Thank you for this info! 🙏🏽
Excellent design and easy to follow for build.
Thank you!
Solid design. Some 1 by's on the bottom cut at a 45 for skids will make it much easier to move with just one person. Wont snag on the grass
best one yet , thank you.
Thank you!
I just found your channel. Thanks for posting this video. Very informative.
Awesome video!
••please remember if you build 10 fooot by 10 foot. Your garage door is big enough to get it outside •••
Great video my friend! Do you get fox digging under? What it cost in lumber?
Good solid build. Have you considered wheels on the frame? Also, how heavy is the structure?
It is heavy. I am going to put wheels on it next season.
How heavy is it?
Could you please tell me what kind of brackets you used to make the door frame?
Nice build. Exactly what I was looking for but I'm single so could one man move this thing?
What type of lumber did you use?
How do you move it?

Do you have a full lumber parts list? You mentioned 10-2x4x10s but there’s definitely more lumber than that. Do you have a list? I love your design and want to copy it, thank you for sharing
Hi Eric, I used about 9 - 2x4x8s as well. I ripped them in half for the roof trusses, so I used 5- 2x4s for that. I used the other 4 for the door and for the braces. I ripped most of them in half so it doubled the use of each one. I also used 2 inch firring strips for the roof as you can see in the video. I used 6- 8 footers.
I purchased the tarp from Harbor Freight and it has been outstanding. Here is the link for the tarp: www.harborfreight.com/collections/silver-heavy-duty-tarps/11-ft-4-inch-x-18-ft-6-inch-reflective-heavy-duty-silver-tarpaulin-47676.html
Purchased the hardware cloth in 2 foot width by 10 foot. Purchased 4 rolls. And one roll of 4ft by 25ft poultry netting.
Hope that helps.....and it has held up all winter here with the snow and cold outside. Pretty happy with that tarp....actually surprised at how strong it is.
Will your chickens live in there full time?
What’s the door frame dimensions.
Looks good0- I am planing on building one very similar to this. So it is 10'x10'. How many meat birds do you put in it?
We do 50 birds at a time and it easily fits them. Works great!
@@TheCookFamilyHomestead Thanks for your reply! 50 birds does sound like a lot? We did them a few years ago in the Joe Salatin tractors. I can't remember but I thought mine was 12'x12' and we put 40 birds in there.
What about winter?
Hi what the dimensions 10' X 10' ? 25CM X 25CM
its 10 X 10 Foot = 304 CM X 304 CM
What's the cost of material.?
What size is the tarp?
I purchased at Harbor Freight: www.harborfreight.com/collections/silver-heavy-duty-tarps/11-ft-4-inch-x-18-ft-6-inch-reflective-heavy-duty-silver-tarpaulin-47676.html
Where do they sleep?
