  • Host Ricky Sacks is joined by Co-Hosts Jason McGovern, Russ Williams and returning Special Guest in Paul O Keefe as we discussed the final hours of the January transfer window as Mathys Tel is now a Tottenham Hotspur player after a dramatic turnaround on transfer deadline day. The talented attacker makes the move to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium from Bayern Munich on a loan deal, which includes an option to buy.
Spurs can make the move permanent in the summer with an option to buy for €55million (£45.7million). If Spurs do take up the option, Tel will sign a six-year contract at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tel's Tottenham switch comes at the perfect time as the Lilywhites have two huge games on the calendar over the coming days as they take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup and Aston Villa in the FA Cup. The attacker's first Premier League game for Spurs could come against Manchester United on Sunday, February 16.

Levy/Lang sacrificed up to 9 PL points , by delaying recruitment till the closing stages of the window .

A couple of ok signings - but lets see how they perform in the premier league before judging whether they are good signings or not. But lets face it this window was a patching up exercise rather than the major intervention our underperforming injury ravaged squad needed. Lange and levy simply left it too late to do what was needed in this window - and fast forward to august and they'll be doing exactly the same on the last day of the summer window. Nothing ever changes at this club.

ENIC have stated many times to have THFC in the top 4 is priority because that's where the dividends are . Currently almost in the bottom 4 has ENIC pushing panic buttons . This transfer window has been a patchwork quilt situation ... Tel has only gone to WHL because he will score free tickets for Beyounce .....

You guys are very critical of the Beyonce announcement. If you see the timings, Tel changed his mind after the Beyonce announcement so that is what swung it. Not Postecoglou

Tells a baller danso a seasoned professional big strong fast and moves the ball quickly forward. Kinksky is young and confident keeper. Good window.

Sad for Radu but a new CB, a promising keeper & a young (unproven) striker loan with a buy option. I'm taking it however late.

To be fair with the Tel move, circumstances meant it could only have been last minute. I do wonder though if we would’ve got Danso if Dragusin hadn’t picked up his injury when he did. Shit we have lost him for at least this season but at least it didn’t happen just after the window.

Tel may come really good but he’s not really shown he’s a world class talent has he so don’t understand the hype or transfer fee that could be

His 2023/2024 stats smash Brennan Johnson’s out the window, only reason they’re reduced is because he’s benched behind Kane, furthermore he’s only 19. Arsenal, Villa, Chelsea and UTD were all interested in him for a reason. New GK, Defender & Striker in a difficult January window is not a disappointing window at all.

      @@riskoebeatsin your opinion.
Ange said at the start of the window he wanted some more experienced players through the door… failed to deliver on that front
You’ve brought Johnson into the argument, who ever said I wanted him either?
I disagree with his stats ever being good, I’m not excited by the signing.
Therefore I think it’s been a disappointing window

OhSoSpurs meet with former Tottenham fitness coach Anton McElhone who worked with Harry Redknapp, AVB, Tim Sherwood and Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, before moving onto become head of Sports science for Ange Postecoglou at Celtic. We discuss what level of responsibility Ange has over injuries and how he compares in his style to other managers like Pochettino.
Anton also carries an A license in coaching as we discuss whether Postecoglous tactics can successfully translate into the Premier League.
We top it off with some questions around what it was like working with Dele Alli, Assou Ekotto and Michael Dawson.

5/10??? At start of window most people would have wanted to see a keeper, defender and an attacker. Given the January window is tricky, surely this is a 7 or 8?

The keeper was already joining in the summer - he wasn't a new signing. We've got 14 players out injured and all we do is bring in a teenager and one defender on loan....and we only did that becos of a mad scramble in the last couple days. A shocking window! PS. January windows are only 'tricky' for spurs - everyone else does ok.
