It was an eye opener video for me...i was classifying just roots and above soil plants and thinking of doing crop rotation. Certainly look for vegetables under these categories. We've a plot near almora. There we're facing problem with nematode. People here are using chemical to fight that... Pl suggest some natural solution which would be best for whole village and community. Need a natural spray solution for fruit trees as well. Pl help. Thank you

I grow vegitables for my family in small scale but in my surounder the organic fertilizer are so expansive like veicompost is 20 RS kg and neem Khali is 60 RS kg
And sir I force me to grow with chemicals fertilizer but in small scale because urea is only 7 kg and compost is 10.rs kg in nursery no shope near me answer near me please help me and suggest me I am from rohtak I grow on 600 gaj

Hi Sanidhay, The problem with paddy growing area is excess Water. And you are forced to grow the same crop that your neighbours grow. And when there is no water, the land dries and cracks open. To answer your question, yes you can do crop rotation and grow different crops in paddy fields but it is completely depended on your neighbours and landscape. For example: if you are trying to grow some drought loving plants and your neighbours grow water loving plants ex: paddy in the same season.. water will flow to your land and it will spoil your crop. In south we grow three crops at least Corn/Cowpea and paddy.. People also grow sesame or any other leguminous crops too. You can try Making Trenches to remove the water 1) from the neighbours to NOT ENTER to your land 2) excess water in your land to get sewage out(drain out)..or to your rainwater harvesting pond/pit (rain water harvesting may not be required in these kind of areas). Once the excess water is addressed, now you can treat it like any other clay soil land and follow natural farming ZBNF/SPNF/Permaculture practices which will help you to break the clay soil and get porousness in the soil and increase the organic content of the soil. If you can afford you can also bring the soil from the lake/pond, add it to your land and enhance your land. Basically you can increase the height of your land, so that you don’t get affected with excess water. When you Bring soil from outside, it should be different in nature so that it increases the porousness. These are a few Generic things you can do, though there are many other things.. every landscape is different. You can provide more input on your land and surrounding so that we can guide you in simple and right direction
