You actually WANT the pedal to hit the stand when the stand is down. That way, you can't accidentally ride off with the stand down, which could cause a crash. You want the pedal to hit the stand in a way they it knocks the stand up to the upper position for you if you forgot.

I have this exact stand, it isn't worth $hit....you're for ever adjusting it to keep the bike upright
There must be something wrong with your stand. Mine is still on the bike and has never had to be readjusted since fitting. Thank you for watching
Too bad you didn't test it by riding. I got one off Amazon and I hit it with my heel because it sticks out instead of staying under the bike stay.
I still have it on my bike and did not encounter any such problems. You do have to adjust it. Thank you for watching
@@Boopolo There is no way to adjust it to make it not stick out. If it weren't for that, it is a good kickstand. My bike should have had the mount welded on the stay since it is made in Germany but it doesn't.
