Yea, once you have a "claustrophobia attack" in an MRI, you can forget about doing one again, except without a lotta drugs. Luckily they have newer open MRI machines now that are about a 3' giant donut, not a 6' torpedo tube. Besides them old ass torpedo tube MRI's are "old," if you see one you know the people/business/hospital/doctor/HMO doing them are beyond cheap by not getting/using more modern MRI equipment . Even the new MRI machines are not expensive for a scan. Find another scan lab with newer machines.
I had an MRI done once. It was fine, but what sucked was that it was about something in my ear and the morons doing it kept telling me to stop swallowing because it made it come out all blurry. I'm like bitch, what do you want me to do? Saliva pools on the back of my mouth and I have to swallow. It's not like I can just turn off that reflex or will my glands to stop salivating.
Had mine after a bike accident where my head bounced off the road and I broke my arm. They treated the head stuff first and I had to hold my broke ass arm at my side the whole time in excruciating pain.
@@Kozuu7 Medical Protocol I think. If you have a seizure/stroke/head injury, they want to check that out first, as setting a broken bone can release more blood clots which could cause further brain injury or death.
My daughter actually just had a small mild seizure a couple days ago. My younger daughter was taking letters away from her and messing up my older’s daughter name she was trying to learn how to spell at the kitchen table and after dozens of hours of research now - I have discovered that frustration, anxiety, anger, concentration and all of that can lead to the brain having a spasm and seizing out. She was literally in the middle of yelling at my other daughter to stop and looking in a big jumble of letters for a specific letter and then her face went slack and she couldn’t make any words and started drooling. It only lasted maybe 5-10 seconds but I grabbed her and she pretty much snapped out of it by the time I got to her and she remembered everything. She said her mouth just wasn’t working and she felt shaky but I could see the pinks under her eyes and her mouth was really exaggerated and droopy with drool. She couldn’t talk either when it was happening but she said it didn’t hurt or anything she just felt like her body was shaking. I know this is a 5 year old video but maybe the comment will help another parent looking for answers.
Weirdo Right here yeah... mine was roughly that much... BUT AT THE VERY LEAST THEY LET ME TAKE HOME THE MAGAZINE FROM THE WAITING ROOM WITH TOBY MAGUIRE SPIDER-MAN so it wasn’t all bad
Same here. I can't remember how old I was when I had my first seizure (yes, I've had more than one), but I've had so many, I'm pretty much at the point where I can make mild jokes about it
@@kittenclysm116 I can see where you’re coming from. Like you, I’ve had many over the past few years and it suck waking up from them. The only thing I find different was that my first seizure was in public, so I’m a little insecure about it.
@@z_shiesty4 Well, thankfully, mine have kinda calmed a little over time. Like when I was first having them, I would completely blackout and only wake up once they got me to hospital. But for a few years now, they last about 1-2 minutes and I'm conscious the entire time. Except for the last one I had, which was caused by a UTI
Epileptic here, luckily on my last EEG I tested normal, I’m currently titrating so hoping for the best. But yes, this video was on point. I had my first seizure a few years back then another a month or so later. Been seizure free for about a year but continued to test abnormal until my last test.
Fuck, jesus christ this guy must add a warning, stuff like that has caused a epileptic fit for me before,a added that i was in a pitch black room with the brightness on max
my girlfriend left and I have been suffering form depression for last few weeks. for the the first time In a while I been laughing so much, thank you man!
The way I know you did a good job in these videos is the fact that somebody like me with epilepsy can watch them and not be offended and still find them freaking hilarious
So true. I'm not sure if It's considered epilepsy, but I've had multiple brain surgeries, which made me prone to seizures and I try to avoid flashing lights. Yet I find this video painfully (but hilariously) accurate
Mike Henny but it’s accurate though minus the sleeping part and being watched over a camera to make sure your asleep even though they are right next to you on a computer starring at your brain waves

Similar story. I had a seizure in grade 11, mine was the grand mal type, you know the fun fish one. When I went to the hospital and started having seizures the doctors couldn't stop it, the longest one lasted 20 minutes and the doctors were forced to put me into a coma in order to stop it. At the end of it all the doc told me I was lucky since such intense and long seizures usually mean the person is going to die, luckily I got out of it with some harsh scaring on my brain which healed over time and some memory loss. (first couple days or so I couldn't do basic math! XD ) Now a few years later or so I haven't had one episode and I'm officially off the medication I was prescribed, and just like yours, the docs have no clue what started it.
Yeah I had multiple seizures at the age of seven and had to go through all those tests , let’s say I didn’t have a fun seizure I had, lucky en though longest mine ever lasted was only like 7 minutes
Bro, I've had a couple of those and I swear my first lasted almost 20 mins in 10th grade. I don't even remember what caused it to start but I forgot who I was for about a week
Had my first MRI today, and this video explains exactly how it was, except the contrast was cold going up your arm. And they actually played the music I wanted even tho I couldn't hear half of it.
I had a grand mal seizure back in 2017, bit my tongue, hit the floor, and busted the back of my head open. I don't remember any of it except waking up in an ambulance to my brother's voice. I had two more and then took an EEG and was restricted driving for 6 months before that but they found nothing. I take medication for it now. I just had an MRI weeks ago for hearing loss in my left ear through an audiologist and ENT, the report for the brain scans came back completely normal. I guess I should feel blessed.
I have epilepsy and he’s not joking about MRIs and eegs. I’m never going in a tube again Edit: Omg it’s only 45 likes but it’s the most I’ve ever gotten thank you!!
Exactly. Fucking MRIs are so loud and the EEG test blowing part always made no sense. I just liked the part where they say oh yeah go take a nap in this random king sized bed we have.
@@nonbinarycrisis401 Why would that be? Usually they do these when someone is awake. I mean, they do give Valium to some patients who may have anxiety about the procedure, and that may cause someone to fall asleep for a little while, but the machine is so loud, I can't imagine most people being able to sleep through more than a couple minutes of the quieter parts. I can't think of a single MRI where they require you to sleep through the procedure.
i started getting seizures since 2015 (12-13) first one i had i fainted and was so confused i had a tonic clonic one in school and woke up to my teacher say its okay helps coming i had to piss and so i timed it pretty good. i relate the MRI its not good to listen too haha I'm almost 21 haven't had too many now but i don't recommend having them either lol

@@Kozuu7 - man that sounds like hell. You all better now? How's the arm?

That sounds like a super dumb thing to put in an MRI. They're relatively safe

MRI scans don't use any radiation. It's just magnetic fields, nothing to worry about.

CapitalGearGaming lucky, i will still have grand mal seizures without my medications and their shitty side effects

I am severely epileptic too. We can go get that tattoo together.
I have epilepsy too, sometimes I have multiple seizures in one month.
Same I hate when I get my MRIs, EEGs, and the Brain Probe. The brain probe hurt so much. When I had brain surgery, they gave me so many Steroids for the recovery.
