- To work around this issue, split all the merged cells in the range, or merge all the cells in the range so that the merged cells are the same size.

If I may provide some constructive criticism from my point of view, since you are taking the time to help people. I would appreciate a more expedient learning experience. For example, we clicked your video because we are having a hard time sorting data in Excel. There was no need to show your desktop and have your audience waiting while the spreadsheet opened. You could have started the video with the spreadsheet already opened and maybe a graphic of the error message. Replicate the error message so people can see that you are trying to do what they did. Message displays. It seemed like that was an excessive amount of time hovering over that message of 13 words. So, I did not understand why you closed the spreadsheet after showing us the error, and then reopened the same spreadsheet and showed us the same error again before you told us how to fix it. Maybe a flow like this:
1. Start with the spreadsheet opened., insert graphic image of message.
2. Try to sort a column, message displays.
3. Provide the solution in a graphic as you did.
4. Perform the solution
5. Sort the spreadsheet
That could have been done in about 30 seconds, plus add some advert time for a "please like and subscribe", "message me if you want to see specific videos" etc. etc. The music was nice although it sounded a little fuzzy like the speakers was blown but seemed to improve later in the video. Regardless, thank you for taking the time (too much time) to help me out.

I dont get it,
if i unmerge merged cells, whats the point?
the merged cells split and leave one cell being empty and getting in the way of sorting it right..
