Hi Yoliebean I love this idea. I made one for a friends wedding and called it a prayer keeper we put it on a table at the reception and guests could use the tags for the guests to write well wishes on. Every one loved it so thanks for the inspiration .
Love that idea!! I'm going to pinch that if you don't mind!!! It will be my Blessings Book. I was also thinking they would be great in an office on the front desk and people could take a little inspiration card when they come in. Great stash buster to keep it filled!!!!!
This is the epitome of loveliness! I think you are so dear to want to leave your children things that you have created. Now that my mom is gone I love to look through her buttons, and saved ephemera, and the mixed media framed art that she longed for us to enjoy!
This is wonderful! I seen one made with a little notebook but I like the phone book idea, LOL! Going to give it a try. I am going to use mine for all those little magazine ideas that I tear out and sit on my desk. Thinking I will attach them to tags with removable tape so I can add another idea after finishing it. If I get it done, I will make a video. TFS and Happy Scrapping!
Oh I made one too but I have not shared it. I love the way yours turned out. I used an instruction book that came with a cell phone and part of a Scrapple board. Oh I should spray mine. Love that idea. Love the nobs. It looks like it will make the pages turn. Very cool! Thanks again Yolie for more great ideas.
Hi Yollie. You are so awesome. You are always coming up with some beautiful things to share. Your book is awesome & beautiful. What a fantastic idea. I am going to try this too, eventually. lol TFS
So beautiful. I just love how this turned out. I just love the vintage look of this project. Great job. I can't wait to see it as you add more to it. I think it is so sweet that you want to leave such things for your children some day. !
This turned out so great Yolie! I saw that project in that magazine and was like you oh I need to make that someday, story of my scrappy life lol! Love the clothespins and knobs! I think these would sell really well at a craft fair TFS!
I know I'm late in answering comments Alease :( I'm trying to play catch up this morning. Thanks for watching! I hope we can get together soon and shop or craft! One or the other would be awesome!
Hello, I have done these for years and years, no idea where I got the idea, but its stood the time. I have used them for displaying Christmas and Birthday Cards, I have made small ones for Business cards. Thank you for reminding me and offering the new ideas like the Tags, Envelopes, Pegs etc June in Coventry, England.
Hi Yoliebean, I had gotten some old books from the thrift store for use on some journal books, and came home looking through you tube for ideas and came across this one, I Love it. It was too easy, looks Awesome on my desk. I had seen many of your videos & I'm always inspired, but I hadn't seen this one until I got back with my books, it was meant to be :) Keep the videos coming, on them days I feel Blah, I get on you tube & you always inspire me to get to crafting :)
yoliebean.thanjs for sharing this what a cool vintage item. I will have to make one for my coffee table. also this idea done with a current book would be cool at a graduation party withtags to wish success . donna
Thank you Jequettea! I'm going to add that in there or in my journal...I need it! :) I love creating things that I know will be passed on to my kids and grandchildren as well. Happy that you found my channel!
Cathy I really suck at answering my comments....off with my head! lol. I'm glad you watched and that you liked it. I've got the same problem! Everything I see is like "wow! I've gotta try it"...and then a year later I find some stuff in a bag and say "what was I going to make with this?" lol. And yes! these would be great for craft fairs!
Great idea, I wonder if it would work using one of those annoying local phone books that keep showing up at the end of our driveway.... This would be a fabulous guest book for a wedding of an Anniversary party (25th, 50th) leaving a jar of blank tags for guest to write their message on and tuck in to the book. :) Natasha
Yolie this great! Yes the book looks as though it may not hold up for a long time BUT I LOVE how it looks so old. Just beautiful.. You did good ~ once again, as usual =) TFS XX Christine
Hi Deborah, So glad you've made some! Funny about your sister! My daughter is the same. She always says "what am I supposed to use this for?" I will have to look through my somerset mags and find which one. TFW!
i love this idea. i want to make one and fill it with instagram pics for a photo a day with journaling on the back of the photos. thanks for sharing this :-)
Very cool Yolie! I am the same way see something and say I want to try that but never do, but I'm getting better at it! I made the file folders lol. Great job as usual, tfs ~Kay
I have made several of these now and use them just as you have. I gave one to my sister for Christmas and she couldn't understand what to use it for!! I am always writing little quotes down, pictures I like, etc. I have also made one that I use as my address and phone book. They work great and I think they look cool. I didn't see the picture in Somerset Magazine, do you know which mag and what date? I can't believe I missed it as I can't help but buy them!! TFS. Deborah
Love how it turned out, Monica! Funny...when I folded my pages , I folded each 2 inward towads each other...???Like U sd about folding yours ea half of your book towards the center...I folded every 2 pages inward toward each other..Don't really know why. I was thinking "balance" as well! Funny! ~Terry
This rollerdex book is so neat! Thanks for sharing. Just a question what was the brand of paint spray and color you used? I did not understand and repeat several times. I think it is so pretty and I would like to do the same. Take care, Cleone
Sorry I'm so late in answering your question :( My book was about 7 x 9". I guess it all depends how big you want it. I only fold one page at a time, but I think two would work as well. TFW!
I hear ya' on the annoying phone books Natahsa! I'm sure you can do it. The ink and paper are cheap so it might get on your fingers. I was keeping my one little wedding idea to myself! lol...great minds think alike!
I saw one on pinterest months ago and had to make one too. Now its sitting with the rest of my projects being unused and collecting dust. Maybe ill use it for quotes.
