Ohhhh it’s carbed. Someone I know just got a new one and had no complaints he could articulate to me about his past few orange bikes. He hates FI. That’s why he got the Beta. I can’t wait to see him lol.
I had a 2014 300 Race Edition with Marzocchi forks with the factory coated parts on it, loved that bike and that's why I ordered a 2024 300 Race after selling my Husky. Beta's Rock
Thank you!! I own a 2016 RE 300 glad to hear how long you got on the top-end!! I have 62hrs on it and I was scared to let it go to 100hrs. My 2024 is still on order!! they say third week of Jan 24 I hope!!! Allen
Thank you Jeff. Great walk around. I'm the same as you getting my bikes torn down and familiarized with them first. That ground strap makes sense. My 2012 498 was giving me hard starting from brand new. Tim Pilg had a fix he recommended by grounding battery to starter. Once I did that have not had an issue since.
Looking forward to more vids from you. I'm excited to get mine out for another ride after having it for 3 weeks, but the weather has been so damn cold here. Ordered a rear disk guard, carbon pipe guard, and will be getting an AXP skid plate, radiator guards and fan. Unfortunately, I had already ordered the Acerbis frame guards before getting the bike, so I had to return those.
Your the only guy that mentions power vavle spacer. I did read guys yanked them off X trainers and the bike hits harder etc but never hear about how it effects the 300RE.
Yes, the spacer is used to mellow things out. So maybe at some point I'll pull them and see how it goes. I always appreciate the tunability of these bikes.
Beta says themselves that if one plug foules the second plug will keep the engine running and would end up burning any oil off the fouled plug and basically you'll never even know you fouled the plug in the first place....now i might add that in 7 years of riding betas ive never seen one foul a plug.
Mine had an issues with two sparks and they make it 3 times. And the sparks have 35€ per one. They told me the problem is the brand of oil!? I put it 1.7% of ipone samurai iol. My opinion something else is the problem. Anyway i test all of them.480.430.390.350.300 2stroke simple myne after and last 250 rr . And I order a new 250 rr not only for the sparks problem. But because i feel the bike more powerful in middle and hi rpm maybe is the compretion . The 250 have 13.22 to 1 and 300 11.4 tha racing and 11.6 the simple and for me the 250 is more fun the second is the front forks are is stiff a lot . Im 105 kilos with all extra but is so stiff.the zf suspensions is more comfortable but for some reason we want the race edition with no reason. Because we hear racing!!!! The racing is not for close path's and Definitely not for people like as hobbies people. Is for racing and open quick path's.
I still have my 2018, very interested to get your report after a ride. From what I've read, the frame was stiffened so I wonder if they also stiffened the suspension as well. Seems to be a lot of divergent opinions on the racing edition KYB suspension for "normal" riders.
Not sure yet. But I'm going to guess with the dual plugs that the 24 will get better mileage. If you're always on the edge of getting back or not, a larger tank may be needed.

Compared to the '14 this is way more refined. I think you will like it.

I've done top ends on these at 200 hrs. I'd say depending on your conditions 140 - 180 hrs is a good point. Clean air is the key.
Why you scared to go in 100 hours??😮

That's interesting to know. Tim Pilg has been a great asset to the sport.
Great video Jeff.
I also have a Beta 300 RE 21 and I am looking forward to your impressions of your new machine compared to the 2021.
Thank you.
Can't wait to ride it soon.

I could see possible a issue with the dual plugs. What happens if the bike isn't running quite right? You might think one of the plugs is fouled.
Beta says themselves that if one plug foules the second plug will keep the engine running and would end up burning any oil off the fouled plug and basically you'll never even know you fouled the plug in the first place....now i might add that in 7 years of riding betas ive never seen one foul a plug.
I agree. That will be interesting to learn.

My 21 had the KYB forks and when set up right it was the best riding bike I've ever owned. I'd highly recommend a race edition to any rider.
@@JeffSanGeorge953 what about mileage 2018 vs 2024 ?

What premix oil and ratio do you prefer with your Betas?
I run 50:1 Amsoil Dominator. It works well for me.
Who are you using for your suspension?
I use MVR Mark Hilton. He's great to work with and delivers results. maps.app.goo.gl/9pPE5tKrCQWC8kpp9
Predict a 12 yr on one of them bc it happening soon 😂
