The important thing [especially for drivers] is that you can drive to John O'Groats but you have to walk to get to Dunnet Head, so hardly anyone goes that far. 🙂
Lizard Point and Dunnet Head might be the points that are furthest south and north in Great Britain but Land's End and John o' Groats are further apart. Also, having looked it up on Google Maps, the B855 goes all the way to Dunnet Head.
Lands End and John O'Groats are the two most South West and North East places, and the farthest apart on the UK mainland, but Dunnet Head is slightly further north
When did a young person ever listen to Dire Straits though? Right from day one they were a Dad band. I was a kid when they started, and I don't remember many kids being fans.

Well done, Steve and Lindsay! You did really well on that quiz. P.S. the question about the northernmost tip of Scotland is a favourite question that often comes up in pub quizzes and catches many folk out who are not familiar with the geography of Scotland and are not paying attention to what the question is actually asking. The comment by XennialTV explains why so many folk get this question wrong - the question is asking what point of land is the furthest north in mainland Scotland, not what is the northernmost settlement in mainland Scotland

We didn't note our scores, but we did pretty well. I knew some Joanne didn't know and she knew some I didn't know! I must admit though, some of mine were educated guesses! You two did great. 🙂
Tom jones. Actually Welsh, but same difference lol. He has sang "It's not unusual" and " Delila" He was also in the movie Mars Attacks, he was the start playing at vegas that escaped on the private plane with some showgirls. He is also a judge on rhe UK's version of The Voice. And one of his claim to fame's is, his voice is so powerful he actually breaks microphones. He was doing some sound checks one day and decided to belt out a few lyrics full force and all of a sudden the microphone went all crackly and stopped working properly.
I think you did very well and can accept that some of the old, old items (Henry Cooper knocking down Ali) probably wouldn't even be picked up by a young Brit. It surprised me that you didn't recognize Tom Jones as he has been doing Vegas residencies since 1967 and was there at the same time as Elvis and still does these. One thing that stands out is the number of times you both said "Is he (or they) British?" There are quite a few TH-cam vids around of Americans reacting to British actors playing Americans or British bands and it might be interesting seeing you react to those.
Dire Straits - Mark and David Knopfler were born in Scotland and then moved to NE England, the other two are from Leicester. Fred Perry was a tennis player, he also established the Fred Perry brand of sportswear. If you heard Rod Stewart speak you would know immediately that he is British. He has a very strong London accent.
Frank Bruno. Bruno stated professional Boxing in 1982. His ring record is, 45 contests, with 40 victories, 38 of them were Knockouts. Bruno’s only defeat was against James ‘Bonecrusher’ Smith. Bruno won the WBO Heavyweight Title in 1995 when he beat Oliver McCall.
Dunnet Heat is just further north, than John O' Groats, and is on the east coast, only 27 minutes away. Which is news, to me, as I always thought John O' Groats was further north, as that's what we were always told! :o)

We didn't note our scores, but we did pretty well. I knew some Joanne didn't know and she knew some I didn't know!
I must admit though, some of mine were educated guesses!
You two did great. 🙂
You two really are great - always make me smile :)
Very well done👏👏it was worth it just to hear Steve belt out 'it's not unusual' by Tom Jones🤣👍
Good fun quiz, thank you guys 😁👍🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸
When you come over to the uk make sure you go into a local pub,and do a pub quiz. So much fun x
You did great guys! Good quiz too xx
Happy Thanks Giving Day for yesterday guys..😀
Thank you, Roger :)
I’m impressed! Well done you two 😊
Tom jones was always known as 'The Voice' and is a judge on 'The Voiice UK'
David O’Hara plays Stephen in Braveheart, brilliant actor
Kate Winslrt was 8+ 10 bonus guys ❤️🏴
Fred Perry also founded a fashion brand, using his name, in the UK. They are most known for their polo shirts. Been around over 70 years
how could you not know that tom jones was british the name jones is welah + his very very strong welsh accent
Tom Jones is still singing and my friend actually saw him a couple of months ago. He's in his early 80's. X
You did great!
Frank Bruno.
Bruno stated professional Boxing in 1982. His ring record is,
45 contests, with 40 victories, 38 of them were Knockouts.
Wow some of these were a bit tricky, the Dunnet head question beat me, Sir Tom Jones well into his 80s now but still touring and a judge on the voice uk. Porridge is a show you should definitely check out as it starred the legendary Ronnie Barker
Well I'm glad it wasn't just us in the dark on that one! 😅 Makes me feel a little better. haha And we'll definitely have to check out Porridge, then if Ronnie Barker was in it.
@reactingtomyroots was quite embarrassed by that one as a truck driver, have visited Scotland few times while working and pride myself on having an ok knowledge of places around Britain lol, yeah porridge was brilliant, also starred sir David Jason in a few episodes who is another one of our tv Legends, should check him out, especially his main tv show the legendary sitcom "Only Fools and Horses"
You did brilliantly 😊😊
Hi Guys , I can tell you love quizzes , I you ever come over 🤞 to the uk / Ireland you'll have to go to a pub quiz night . You did really well 😊
Fun! Think you should have added the bonus points too...
PS Lyndsay you certainly look much younger than Steve! (and apologies if I have spelt your name incorrectly, maybe Steve could put your names in the generic blurb?)
You two a great! Well done!
You did better than most brits would have! 😂
Audrey Hepburn was from Belgium and as a 15-year-old during the war, she ran messages for the underground.
You do realise that when you pause and discuss you are adding time - no point having a timer 😂😂
They're answering _before_ they pause, perfectly fine.
You’d love our British pub quizzes and you’d love ‘The Chase’ because the Chasers were all champion pub quizzers with a vast knowledge of trivia.
I think the video "bands you didn’t know where british" is a must soon 😅
