This was such a BEAUTIFUL uplifting biography of one of history's GREAT MEN OF FAITH! Looking after all of those children & giving them a chance that they otherwise wouldn't have! George Muller gave us so much to learn from how to live an incredibly powerful & faithful life through the Holy Spirit! THANKYOU dear Lord for raising up such an INSPIRED man that could teach us EVERYTHING about total dependence upon you dear Lord! AND thankyou It Is Written for retelling this story - I WAS INCREDIBLY moved by the power of FAITH. I have so much to learn of the power of God & what He can do. I actually LIMIT my Lord & Saviour & hadn't realised to what extent! AMEN HE 🙏🏻 ❤🙏🏻

My great-great grandfather, Otto Carl Benjamin Kramer Sr. was born in the Kingdom of Prussia around 1835-40. He left about 1853 to escape conscription into the Prussian Army.

This was so good. What faith Muller had and we should too. One question, why were there so many orphans?

I think in Victorian England, the life expectancy was very low. The mortality rate was incredibly high - this is what I found when I googled this subject!
"Smith found that dirt, and diseases like Typhus , Consumption and Cholera were responsible for high mortality rates in adults during the Victorian period (1979). Accordingly, there was a significant amount of children who would experience the loss of his parents."!
(I don't know whom 'Smith' is - maybe an historian?)
