    I live in Toronto and Travel regular to the USA etc. Investors are NOT coming to TT-- Why would they come to TT? to lose their lives? to get kidnapped? to get treated like garbage? I have done research on what Tourists' want when they come to the caribbean- and Hot sun, Hotels and beaches are "Last" on the list.....they want an experience...an experience of what the "country" has to offer...But, with your Jacket and Ties, believe you know it all...I'm on the ground talking to potential tourist.

    Jamaica, Cuba and Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Barbados are the best islands to invest in especially Jamaica and Cuba.

      audley mclean The people of Tobago should create a private association and promote themselves because the Governments of the world are controlled by the Global Bankers.

      So why is the Jamaican economy not growing at the Trinidadian economy is?

  • @MerchantofTarshish
    @MerchantofTarshish 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    Trinidad's downpoint is that it has too many slums and improperly built neighbourhooods that are just too hard to get rid of.
    The islands look super at the right angles though

      MerchantofTarshish That's is a social issue that has nothing to do with investors. I will agree something should be do about it but the mostly is up to the individual.

    As you may or may not know- our "black Gold" will not last forever and the price of that "black Gold" will be suffering immensely as Guyana begins to produce oil. The US is also implementing their latest policy of "Drill Baby Drill" and their imports from TT will be soaked up their own oil. That said, you mention that our "nation" was not build on Tourism- while that may be true, Tourism is an integral part of our heritage especially for the Tobago Economy. Should we disregard or "do away"-cont.

  • @dasy1000
    @dasy1000 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    with- or neglect Tourism our Tobagonian brothers and sisters will suffer; so in my mind, it's not an option. Investors are not coming to TnT anytime soon trust me on that. Only TnT residents living abroad might consider returning to TT to possibly retire, but, in general, Tourism is taking a big hit because of the Crime problem. Whether you accept that or not it's entirely up to you. I have done research in Toronto and what Tourist wants is NOT what they are offering right now. And mind you..

    Too many slums, where the hell are u from and where did u get that information? TnT is very well developed.. This guy say too many slums, lol alrighttyyy then.

    People are using social media to tell about their experiences in TT- and It's shameful to read what people have to say....Trinidadians have gotten Rude, Unappreciative, Violent and Racist against Tourists and there is NO protection afforded to them. When they get threats from locals, police refuse to assist them; and you think they would invest in TT? Would you!?

    @cutiepoo34 i dont want to be arguementative and i shouldnt buut im going to say something. i am no expert in investment neither areyou. i say we leave it to the experts to decide where is good for investment and so far , jamaicas north coast speaks for itself. this is not meant to be offensive. do not respond angrilly

  • @kittana24
    @kittana24 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    And mind you im not talking only about the sun sea and sand tourists but major companies sending employees and investors to this country! I am glad that we do not depend all entirely on tourism since some tourists come here but dont even spend their money so what your saying is irrelevant! We as a nation should look at the bigger picture and focus on making our black gold and other natural resources our main focus because these are the most important money makers that keeps our country afloat.

    ummmm correct me if im wrong but any country that you go to there is crime and criminal activity and when ppl like you living in toronto come and speak as if Trinidad and Tobago is a warzone upsets me! Our economy was not builton tourism to start with and you need to more research and stop dwelling on negativity towards our country. And yes i have worked in well known Hotels where tourists are accomodated year round and i havent heard negative but positive feed back from them.

      we have plenty vocational trades school that is one of our big advantage we are also close to south america we dont envy our neighbour more our neighbours strive is more business they will do with us not even tobago has that kind of opportunity for industrial while jamaica has some of the best enginers in the caribbean is only a handful of them do there trade over the world we have 10s of thousands of well train professionals working in the oil industry all over the world almost in every country

    Those of you who are in chargeo of Tourism in TT- have no clue what you are doing...You're just sucking the tax payers out of money for your own gain. 'this is 2012/13 the usual "fancy hotels, beaches, tax incentives, carnival etc." are no longer what Tourism is all about. There are beaches all across the Americas, there are better beaches all along the caribbean....the days of selling Hot sunshine and Sandy beaches are over- Tourists want an "experience" when vacationing...continued....
