Some more information would be helpful such as price, availability, dimensions, weight, material used, options, etc. This video said it would be shelter for up to eight people but I don't see any room for toilet, shower, stove and perhaps most important storage space!
Ventilation? Insulation? Temperature control? Air quality? Tie-down points to keep strong winds or flooding from moving the pods? Can the flat roof handle the weight of several feet of snow?
These things are completely computer generated, they obviously have not thought of any of that and probably dont care. Im betting it was just another kickstarter scam
There's nothing wrong with the pet carrier design. My design (homeless emergency shelter) looks like a mail box. BFD. This is simple, would withstand winds and stacks nicely. I do wonder what construction material is proposed, and if it has any isolative properties. Ventilation is very important for a multi person shelter this small with non breathable material like a tent. With that said, heating is important in the wither, but not particularly necessary for survival. Have you ever made a prototype? Drawings to me are just pretty things and don't have much merit.
Along with the lack of climate control, there's a lack of storage and lighting. They say you can put up to eight people in one unit, that's gonna be a tight fit! In cold weather conditions without heating, the people on the bottom are going to suffer so these would need to be elevated. This system needs a lot more work.

Great. Send some to Florida where they refused to leave their million dollar houses AFTER there was no power, water or sewer systems, because they couldn't deal with the reality of a hurricane and 8 foot floods hitting their 'dream houses'.

How about just burying it about half-way then pile the dirt from the hole on the sides and about 6 inches on the roof with two reinforcing internal tubes to strengthen the roof? Additionally, extensions could be attached to the horizontal window slots to allow natural light and ventilation and a entry about three feet deeper which would provide a 'mud' room!

I could see these as emergency temporary shelters for mass housing, quickly and anywhere.
Take a pet carrier and enlarge it....that's all it is really. ..but the simplicity of it is genius.
I can't imagine how hellish it would be to sleep in one of those during a hot summer..
