Hey Swansea fans... Arsenal fan here. Gotta say great buy! I saw this guy play 4 times last season and he was immense against Barca! Hope you stay up comfortably and keep up the Arsenal/Barca style of play.
Probably he's a VERY underrated player in England, never played Internationally and played at a time when English clubs were out of Europe. He played for Barca and Madrid and is probably one of the most technically gifted players to grace the game, Spanish fans tend to respect that.
In Spain, Michu is not a normal player, actually he is the second spanish top goal scored, with 15 goals. he is a PERFECT player, and in Rayo, we say "Michu stay with us"
Wow, linked with newcastle, Sevilla, Liverpool and most impressively, Manchester united, yet signs for my Swansea at the mere fee of £2. Hopefully he will turn out to be one of the greats to grace the white shirt. Michael laudrup bar,y army. Also, great music ;)
I hope he is not bought by one of the so called 'big clubs' in England next season. Really like to see he stays with Swansea for a long time and this is coming from an Arsenal fan. The only thing missing from the EPL is that there should be more clubs competing for the top 4 or even the title to make it truly the best league in the world. Great job by Swansea for picking a quality player for such a 'small' amount of money.
Ronaldo was 19 when United signed him, Michu is a 26 year old who has had 1 season in the top division(a good season at that however) and spent the rest of his time in the lower divisions playing for Oviedo and Celta. You can't really compare the 2 situations. He's a good player ,but he'd be better staying in spain and going somewhere like Sevilla rather than sat on United's bench.
if we get 15 million for allen you cant say no to that, imagine what we could do with 15 million if we invest that straight in the squad. cant wait for next season
I havent heard any comments or newspaper article with allen saying he wants to leave. If liverpool stump up 10 million or so quid then swansea will sell.
@tonymontana256 what are you talking about, do you think cristiano ronaldo was a "top player" when United signed him from sporting? the whole point of scouting players is to get talent early....cheaply....not waiting until players are established and sort after, that rarely happens....United have a good rate of making young players into legends...ronaldo, rooney etc etc
