I think not only missionaries, but all mounted Spanish unit (or just the conquistadors) should be able to pick up relics as a Civ ability, just make them a bit slower than a monk when they have one and unable to attack of course. This would also make it if someone has a monk nearby to contest for the relic, the mounted unit cannot run fast enough to avoid conversion 1v1. The Spanish player could be the anathema of the Aztecs when it comes to relics like they were in real life.

what is the maximum number of villagers building 1 structure to still get speed bonus? for example with wonder - how many villagers can I have building it until their building speed reaches the limit?
Technically it depends more on the surface area of the building rather than anything else. The biggest ones are 4x4 and can optimally fit nearly 50 vils. With 49 vils you build 17 times faster and with 52 18 times. Still a wonder example even with Spanish will be built 23.4 faster and original build time is 3500 seconds so it will still take 150 seconds more or less.
@@zachariastsampasidis8880 how many villagers should I use for building a castle? is there some rule how much speed each villager gives into completing a structure faster? what is the difference in time between for example 3 vs 6 vs 9 villagers building a castle?
@@adrianakuzmikova1697 each 3 extra villagers add the same building speed as the original one. Thus if 1 villager has an let's say X building speed, 4 vils have 2X. 7 vills have 3X speed 10 vils have 4x speed etc. Generally the only buildings worth considering building with more than 1 vil are the castle and the town center. Castle has 200 sec build time (3:20) and town centre has 150 (2:30) [cuman feudal 2nd TC has 270 sec build time (4:30)] Of course if you are being siege pushed in castle you might wanna use more vils to build TC on exposed woodlines or gold/stone. Generally I would say when booming and replacing a lumber camp with a TC 7 vils is fine. If you are forwarding vils for castle drop consider at least 15 or so (depends of course but it's a good ball park to ensure that even if you lose some you can still build castle)
