    I've only seen these type of MPVs in SE Asia. I really wonder how well they might sell in the US. The bold styling is subjective, but it's definitely more distinctive than the styling of minivans in the US currently.

    What's missing in this review is the fuel mileage/fuel consumption for the Alphard 3.5L V6 in the real world 50/50 highway/city. Would be perfect so that buyers can know what they're getting into before purchasing a V6 engine vs 2.5L engine. Important note is running cost besides all the frills you'll get from a 3.5L V6. 🤗

    Nice review. Right now, Alphard is out of stock here in the Philippines, maybe because of company's strategy to wait for the impending price increase. Anyway, i am in big dilemma on what to buy, Alphard, V 220D AvantGarde, Prado or whatever.... I have a driver, I enjoy the second row seats, i do my work sometimes in the second row, I use the car a lot - around 25 to 60 km a day, drives the crazy traffic of Manila and highways of the Philippines? What do you think I should have? Do you have a review of the V class. Given these daily driving / commuting lifestyle - what best option do I have? Thanks/ I do like your reviews. It helps "ordinary" people like me to get another expert's view.

    • @BobbyAngmalaysia
      @BobbyAngmalaysia  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe the Alphard/Vellfire might suit you the best. They're more comfy than the Mercedes V Class in my opinion.

  • @pakmie1648
    @pakmie1648 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    nice review. hope you can review mercedes V-class. the price is almost same as 3.5 alphard.

    • @BobbyAngmalaysia
      @BobbyAngmalaysia  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh i should. I've been in that car a couple of times, gotta tell you, while it looks as luxurious as these Japanese lounge on wheels, the comfort levels are so different. That car hops and bops around like a van, albeit one with leather lined interiors. The Alphards and Vellfires are created for comfort cruising, down to the core of each part of their engineering. The Vitos are commercial vans, and then lined with a luxurious interior for the V-Class.

    Bobby i hope u read this and reply this, now toyota has sell the new vellfire , so which one should i buy recon or new one ? yaa toyota is mlre expensive

    • @brandonczw
      @brandonczw 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fakhrullah Saifuddin imo recon is a better choice. For official import you are gonna pay 400K+ when a 230K+ recon one has better specs. I own a recon 2016 Alphard V6 (290K) and one of my friends has the new 2018 Alphard executive lounge (540K) bought new from toyota. My recon one has much better specs. The executive lounge from toyota selling @ 540K doesn’t even have the pre crash system, 360 degree camera, automatic parking etc. Very disappointing. My recon one has it all. But the executive lounge has nicer 2nd row seats. It is more of a chauffeur-driven car.

    • @BobbyAngmalaysia
      @BobbyAngmalaysia  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      yupe, the V-class isn't as comfortable as both the vellfire and alphard. i don't think the official VellPhards have safety features like auto parking, but maybe the high spec ones brought in by dealers might have it.

    Is it worth the upgrade from the first generation of Vellfire? also, I am planning on getting a Toyota Land cruiser instead of a new vellfire , is it cramped for 8-9 adults? is it more of a downgrade or an upgrade?

    • @BobbyAngmalaysia
      @BobbyAngmalaysia  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jeremmie Hean if you already own the first gen vellfire for a couple of years already and wanna change a new car and it has to fit 8-9, i dont think you have other choices in the market. Land Cruiser is the Ninja King (LX570) right? That's an epic car bro! And totally different thing altogether. If you don't have old people that might have difficulty climbing up, why not? It's not as spacious as the vellfire though ... but epic offroad capabilities and on road presence.

    • @chanyikhang9194
      @chanyikhang9194 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I owned a lc200. You can't compare vellfire with the land cruiser because it's really feel or drive so different. The third row is not good when you're cruising fast. Buy the lc if you like to fly bump or whatever. TBH buy vellfire or alphard instead of lc if you always go for long journey.

      XC90 is a ultimate choice for its all sophisticated technology including contact-less boot operation compared to this japanese MPV's. Yet, the insurance cost and roadtax quite cheaper than Alphard.
      but, here's comes for long-term maintenance. the XC-90 have 20" alloy rim which means you have to spend over RM1000 to replace the tires.
      All in all, its depends your pocket, sir. :)

    to me also the front is fugly, while the rear is really cool and aggressive (also side view), and overall the previous gen looks better. that fugly front is also the case with toyota esquire (to much royal in your face kinda feel), on the other hand, noah or voxy looks really cool (the current one, the previous noah was nice but voxy still ugly)

    I saw many aunties carry kids with this van. What do you need full leather, comfortable for the kids? You just need to give them cartoon or tablet. That’s all
