Some of us are old enough to remember the old Microsoft screen savers that did the exact same thing. Some of us are also just not that impressed by periodic motion. It's math. He's putting a graphing calculator on canvas. Where is the expression? Where is the individuality and uniqueness? He's doing what anyone with paint, twine and gravity can do. The reason why no one else is doing it is because no one thought there would be such a large crowd of dummies to gobble it up. And I'm part of it...commenting on a TH-cam Short like my opinion matters while i take a dump....sigh. At least the dump was satisfying.
Who said art needs meaning or expression, individuality? It's art. No art is individual, everything is inspired by something if you look far enough into an artist's past. The stinkers that say art needs to be anything just don't really know what art is. So what if it's also math? It's nice seeing how the patterns will come out. I'm not a mathematician so I don't know, but even if I were and could perfectly guess what it would look like, it's still a visual representation of whatever. He clearly enjoys doing it. I'd consider myself an artist and nothing I do has any meaning, expression, or skill. I'm doing what any idiot with a pencil and fineliner can do. And I'd argue that he does have a skill most other people don't because it does take an understanding of how everything will fall to be able to have some control. It's abstract art... It ain't that offensive. I've seen canvases full of black paint and still found them interesting to look at because of subtle changes in texture. There's something for everyone. He's clearly just having fun experimenting. If I had a garage and paint, and a little bit of string I'd be trying this out too. You're free to not like it, of course. I'd personally not buy any of his stuff since it isn't my taste, but just because it doesn't fit your definition of art doesn't mean it can't be art. I could shat on a piece of paper and smear it around into a flower and say it's art. I've seen much worse on TH-cam than a dude having some fun with paint...and this isn't a modern society problem. Show anyone the swirly paint man and they'll enjoy the brain tingles it causes. Finding joy in simple things is nice.

Wow , I'm impressed how good that looks !!
Love your art. Do you keep any of your techniques secret? 💚🎸
The motion of the earth going through space has much to do with the perfectly spaced lines as the can rotates around the canvas.
Yeah bro you really did two great techniques. 1. Let go off bucket. 2. Wait.

When you stop it try putting your hand under to fill the hole and with you other hand move it away from the painting
