My all time favorite performance by Thekra is a song called يا مجد, It's a song for Oum Kolthoum and it's very difficult to perform as it requires high vocal abilities, and Thekra was the only one who dared to sing it and it was exceptional !

Did you get the explicit written green light from the rights owner of the video and who was it in the specific case of this passed away artist? In the situation you would not get a response after a while after reaching out to an artist, does that give you the right to use the artist work? Looking forward to hearing your comments soon! Alex
Hi Alex! FYI most of my videos including this one are not mine due to Copyright restrictions. The moment I upload a video, youtube puts a copyclaim on it and I have the right to dispute the right based in fairuse and explain my reasons to the content. Again most of the time the owners reject my request but there are some generous music companies that are releasing the right of the video. However you have the option to trim out copyrighted parts and when it comes to music, you need to trim out the entire video. So I prefer to keep a video that I have spent hours to export rather than chop it off.

I was asking because I am interested to create informative cultural travel videos/animations and wanted to use some good foreign music like arabic, latino, etc depending on the destinations. Apart from very few exceptions, most of the copyright free music I found on soundcloud, pexels or youTube are mostly AI generated or more melodies than proper songs. Some of the few good tracks from Arabic and Latino artists which I found as free to download on Soundcloud I was told by the platform that I should get a formal written authorisation (email) before triming/adding to my personal media composition before pushing on social... So I am still waiting as I did not get any response. The other option I found was tolerated with copyright free music found on TH-cam is to use only on TH-cam, a bit like what you are doing in a way. But that's not exactly what I want as I want to create an Premiere Pro animation using photos/videos and copyright free music to push on TH-cam but also on Insta, TikTok and other as shorts... So that was the main reason I was trying to call on your experience on this. But you seem to have done really well as your media is liked and well consumed!
@boomerangsun6124 Tbh the main challenge that I have in my genre is Copyright. No one knows the hard work behind videos and dealing with copyright is a skill on top of content creation. I usually try to avoid copyrighted content, however, when I get so many request on a restricted content, I make the video but I don't own the right of it. In some cases you explain your reasons you have used the copyrighted content to the owner based on Fair Use and if they accept, they might release the right of the video. Other than that, you won't get an answer if you reach out to them.
@@IJayReaction OK got you! So best to create your content and publish it and then deal with the claim if the artist/rights manager claims it back... In your case it makes total sense because it is a win win situation as you are promoting the artist work anyway but in my case doing videos with background sound using "free to download" videos from a well known artist is tricky without prior consent as you are due to mention the author credits even in the case of a fair use video promoting cultural travel. Maybe I should try and see what happens since as you rightly said I won't get a response even with free to download music. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
@@BoomerangSun Even in my case it is not a win win situation. They just wanna be the only winner. What I can recommend is to find some rare versions of cover videos of the songs that don't have copyright. In that case the quality won't be the same but you will have that music on your video.
