I want to piggy back off this. The idea of "Anything" is that he can anything his fans need him to be, a place of refuge when needed or like a place to lie down and rest someone who will fullil your dreams and create happiness. The "although being your lover is untrue" is meant to be seen as sort of a boundary between celebrity and their fan (and because, yes, he is "taken" and that is the only position he cannot fill for you). That is the concept of the dream, he is there for you but out of reach in your reality, he disappears from the field because Ally is waking up, the cat comes in to represent the happiness and comfort you have in your everyday life. You are not always sleeping/dreaming but his purpose is to show he is always willing to be a comfortable place for his fans, even as they come and go. (I am late to this reaction but I had just watched your most recent of him singing "Easy On Me" at MChoice Awards)
