I thought we only had the "And i cannot falter, gotta keep my head low" part of this song but nope! Aparently we got the full one😅 It's kinda surprising how it changed so much yet so little. I kinda liked Eurylichus and Polite's duet. And from how it's frased, it seems like THIS was meant to open up the show (I wonder how they would've revealed the infant plot in this draft)
@@imaqueen223She's still narrating in the song Ismarus so she was probably used like A. Burr in Hamilton, informing the audience while still being part of the play
It's amazing how so many parts of the released Full Speed Ahead were already in the old one. And it sounds like only a few people are singing instead of the 600 men. Thanks so much for uploading this or I would've never known that there was an earlier version of Full Speed Ahead! What was your favorite part? Mine was "And I know I cannot falter, and I know I can't slow down, even though the gods are watching me to see if I will drown." Gotta admire his determination :)
I’m so glad I could share with y’all! My favorite part is probably “It’s just a matter of time, before someone tries to end your-“, the fact that both Athena AND Eurylicus (I can’t spell his name 😭) sing it but coming from different places/mindsets sing it is just so good, AND the foreshadowing is just ✨👌✨
Thanks for uploading ❤ I understand why they had yo cut it out because its too much exposition but I personally love it because I like that Athena foreshadowing the story. It's like in Hadestown, you know how ots going to end but you still want to be part of the journey. So thanks again ❤❤❤

It’s a minor thing but the vowel choice of “Fool speed ahead” throws me off so much lol
For a broadway version, the Athena sections could be added in the song in a different mix!
Why on Earth did I only find this now?! Where WAS this song?!
It was cut, it was one of the first songs for Epic in it's early stages! :DDD
