The person driving with the hood up should have their drivers license permanently taken away after that. That person should have pulled over to the side instead of driving blindly in the opposite direction. Scary to know the amount of people on the road with worm brains.
@ i witnessed a car driving almost exactly like this when I went on vacation in California. They eventually hit the barrier and when I stopped to see if they were okay, they were completely zoned out. Turns out they were having a stroke and their foot was still pushing the pedal all the way to the floor! I took their foot off the gas and I put the car in park and told someone else to call 911 (my phone was dead). After a few more people stopped, I left because I had to go see my brother in the hospital. I don't even know what road it was (California roads are way too confusing to me)
The person who drove down the highway with their bonnet up, down the wrong side should be banned from driving. Shocking behaviour, they could of easily killed someone.
Partially right. Its the STUPID MN demonazi politicians who wont allow studded tires EXCEPT on their cars. Minnesota is a demonazi state. Cant expect any intelligence there.
@@tristantimothy1004 then why are they also illegal in a perpetually republican state like michigan? just admit american have dumb laws no matter what you are, lol. also you have no ITP which is ridiculous. in EU it's illegal to drive the with the decrepit and poorly made cars that are allowed in US. huge cars that kill you more also economically prohibitive. your whole culture is a death cult at this point.
IMO, car manufactures have some blame there. Look at all the commercials of vehicles flying through snow with words like "all wheel drive, 4-wheel drive, traction control" in big bold letters. No one ever pays attention to the tiny words at the bottom of the ad "professional driver on closed course". And some people are just oblivious to everything.
@@kreterakete total true, people driving on low pro tires that are near bald. And people thinking there all season tires can handle the slick roads. Snow tires make a huge difference.

Or a private instruction course like other countries do.
I made a delivery up in Monticello and got stuck in traffic southbound 94 in Rogers because of a jack knifed semi. The wrecker had to lift his trailer to move it to the side, allowing traffic to flow slowly past. After that I kept it at 40-45 in the right lane and still had people passing me going 60+. I drove past that wrong way driver accident on highway 100, had no idea what the hell happened until today. I love this channel, watching stupidity that seems to be never ending in the Twin cities is just great
This is not an accident but a crime - the wrong way driver has been consciously driving at high speed in dangerous winter conditions without slowing down at all to avoid oncoming traffic.
One thing I noticed here, the majority do not react until the very last second. This tells me they are limiting the size of their alert bubble. In these conditions, I'm driving way ahead. I'm constantly scanning for abnormal movement, and keeping greater distances from other vehicles.
@@ghosteye007 I have witnessed a lot of uninformed and unskilled winter drivers, and the majority of them were not black. Unsure what your comment means, but it certainly certainly seems to be void of critical thinking.
I live outside Boston with a 2nd house in extreme northern Maine and still I avoid the highways and interstates in snow. Right now I have 4 new winter (not mere all-season) tires on an AWD vehicle and I've been driving in snow for several decades, but there is a limit to how many stupid drivers you can avoid. Limited access roads also mean limited escape too. Thanks for this video reminder to stay off the highways at times like this.
Put some studs on those tires. Snows don't help on black ice but like you said, nothing saves you from other drivers. Stay off the road is a good idea but most employers punish people that do that if they miss time. They make it "Your job or your life".
Good point! Stay off the main highways. I'm in Oklahoma and I even know a little about driving in snowy conditions. I also stay away from the major highways. A lot of people are simply bad drivers. Rather keep my vehicle and myself safe and not get in a wreck.
I was driving a rental Hyundai Elantra on January 14th from silver Lake road to Lake drive around 12: 15. The little light flakes of snow we're making the road so slippery and with that Elantra only being front wheel drive, I was sliding all over the place. It was crazy how fast people were passing me on 35W. But as a former bus driver I tried to continue to maintain my distance, look far enough ahead to find out if there were any problems, and reduced my speed as we were taught.
One thing in common: all were going to fast for the conditions ... which were black ice. SUV with 4 wheel drive matters not ... doesn't help. Speed does along with a good set of tires.
A good set of tires goes a long way to keep you out of the ditch, I buy new tires every 2 years and have never been ditched. I live in a lake effect snow belt and if you don't have a good set of tires and a little common sense your going to get in trouble.
@@tbuddy3005 Agree; I change my tires early, never run them down to the tread mark, both for water and snow traction reasons. I rent a lot of cars and am amazed how crappy some of them are.
Wow! This was amazing and eye opening. The responders should get hazard pay when they have to get out of their vehicle. It looks iffy with cars continuing to drive by quickly as possible past the accident but there is a danger of adding to the problem. Glad to confirm a universal truth: 4 wheel drive doesn’t mean 4 wheel stop!
Some people will never learn to drive on icy roads (still driving too fast ) !! Another thing is KEEPING DISTANCE !!! KEEPING DISTANCE is more important than you think !! You should try it sometimes !!
I think you will find that most people are terrible drivers overall. Winter conditions simply uncover their awful driving. It is like all the electronic systems on their vehicles are able to compensate for their lack of ability and attention but the snow and ice overwhelm them.
Wow. We just got a little snow here in Northwest Arkansas. Thank you for these videos, especially for those of us who don't have much practice driving in winter weather.
Faitherific . It is 6 degrees F at 6pm in Western . N.Y . , Winds are coming and the big Snow is a Day away . My Sister once lived In Arkansas and was shocked to see what happened when it Snowed . They Outfitted him with Many Layers and let the Kids Go . They are 18 and will Learn something Tonight .
I've always heard the northern people talking about how bad southerners drive in winter weather; watching this and seeing them get the ice on the roads like we almost always get, it doesn't look like they do any better. Driving on snow ain't like driving on ice, stay safe.
@@austinwagoncompany you said a LOT right there. I towed for 10yrs, and most of the dimwits a pulled from ditches and such throughout central NC were from the North/Midwest. They all talked the same shit about NC drivers, while watching MY southern ass free them from whatever stupid situation they moved down here to create. I always asked them if they knew if there might be a difference between an inch of ice, and a few feet of snow. Same blank stare, nearly all of them.
I’ll be honest, with my first car i moved to Colorado at my father’s behest and was never taught or told to do any maintenance of any kind. I had no idea i had to rotate my tires or get new tires every few years. I wish i had been taught basics like that in school or by my parents but no one did. I’m lucky my tires never blew and that i understood how to drive in snow and ice based on basic physics. Still. I think there’s a huge lack of education when it comes to vehicles that causes this.
I can remember driving east on I-80 years ago, from Oakland to Reno, and over the Sierras. Blizzard conditions prevailed after Sacramento, and people were passing me as if it were a summer day. At the highest point of the roadway, nothing but blue and red lights, semis flipped over, cars crushed, people lying in the snow. What saved me from all this carnage? Simple. I slowed way down, and kept a lot of distance between my car, and the car in front of me. My travel time doubled, but I arrived home safely, when so many didn't. For God's sake, people: Slow down!
I find it a bit sad that everyone can see that the weather is bad, yet still drive as if it is a dry summer day. WTF is the matter with them? I usually prefer driving in the USA, rather than UK but in winter time, I think I shall avoid visiting.

People forget that even if you can drive fast in these conditions doesn’t mean that you can stop fast or controlled in these conditions. A 3000-4000lb vehicle has a tremendous amount of momentum.
Lord I Thank YOU, driving on those roads in Minnesota ,ain't no joke from this boi from South of the saint Mary's river Georgia! Run that highway a few times, man!!!!
Some folks seem to be oblivious to the dangers of winter driving despite living in areas that are prone to snow fall. Reduce speed at least 10mph below the posted speed. Stay off your brakes if you feel your self sliding and take your foot off the accelerator and steer into the skid. If other drivers are passing you give them a wide berth and leave yourself an escape area for defensive action. If you feel comfortable going on find any exit ramp and exit the road until conditions improve. Don't crowd the plow and God bless.
The thing is, I always try to leave room for stopping (people don't understand what Assured Clear Distance is) and some idiot will jump right in like I left it open for them. So now I'm driving defensively trying not to hit them. That's why I hate driving in this. My mom always said looking out for idiots is the hard part of driving. You kind of have to get a sixth sense of what people will do.
@@cyndianderson7056 I always assume that 80% of the drivers are oblivious to anything beyond their front bumper, and at any moment they will do something outrageously stupid or dangerous. Drive with due care for the conditions, use your full attention, and leave your cell phone alone until you get home.
I agree I was driving home from brainerd I think a year or 2 ago it may have been 3 and I drive a jeep wrangler and I didn't have it 4 wheel yet cause it just starting to snow and the roads were not bad yet as I drove further south they were getting really bad anyways to make a long story short lol I felt the jeep trying to slide but I just took my foot off the brake and made very very minor corrections on the steering wheel and I mean tiny ones and nothing happened I stayed on the road and didn't go fish tailing all over or spin out
I live by I-80 in Western Pennsylvania. The trucks don’t slow a bit for snow, ice or even high winds. Tomorrow (1-16-22) looks to be a very shape day for travel. I hope the best for all on our roads. 🤞
The biggest problem you see with a lot of these are drivers starting to slide and they make a big mistake by slamming on their brakes. This causes the car to slide without control. Take your foot off the brake and steer the car.
@@tehagent1321 - Yep, with modern ABS it's the opposite of the old conventional wisdom. You just jam on the brake and let the technology do the work of pumping the brakes for you, with greater efficiency than the old pump and release. Maintains the traction with the road via sensors. Of course, going into a sideways skid and you'll need to engage other emergency maneuvers.
@@mdemers767 its not just about abs, the traction control will kick in and control the required wheels as needed regardless of pedal input. Its your job to tell it where to go and if you want to slow down, but this becomes much more difficult on slippery roads so it has to be done gently.
Looks like pretty much every car shown in this video is going too fast. That was slick stuff and I can't believe people thought they would be in control with even minor movements at those speeds

@@ghostrider-be9ek Well, crossing the median is likely to be just as fatal for a motorcyclist as getting sliced, with traffic coming the other way. Anyway, motorcycle riders have plenty of other potentially fatal reasons to make sure that they do not go careening off the pavement at crazy speeds, whether toward opposite traffic or not. And motorcycles aren't out in the dead of winter and at the mercy of ice-slick roads, which of course is when the cables end up coming into play the most. If motorcyclists want concrete barriers instead of cables, maybe they should get a special tax covering the exponentially greater cost.

It doesn't matter how good a driver you are in the snow if another driver screws up so you can't miss him or you get hit from behind. If you absolutely need to drive keep an eye out for escape routes. Remember that even well off the road you can still get hit. Helps to have big trucks stopped behind.
Please make some big compilations of crashes and put them up. The gf and I sit around watching them all day and would love to see a whole bunch from our home state
The way I handle icy and snow packed highways, I just leave my car in the garage and drink hot tea in my big easy chair as I watch the news and see all the dummy's who drove today wrecking their cars right and left!
I drove a Geo Metro in Minnesota on icy highways and I could feel every slippery spot and would slow down while bigger cars would fly by me....then into the ditch. One guy tailgated me while I was doing everything to keep my car straight. Just nuts how people drive in winter.
what you drive makes a big difference ... I had a 2wd 1984 S10 that was a white knuckle driver in the wet and forget it in the snow... i could imagine that little car was about the same even with snow tires
@@philtripe , You gotta point. P/Us have no rear end weight for traction. Up here we put 55 gallon bbls in the back & fill em with water. W studded tires they work fine. My van is a single screw w studded tires & LOTS of heavy tools in the back & it works fine. All a matter of weight distribution & studs & common sence driving. Up here, AWD/4WD is the norm & locals all have 2 sets of rimmed tires. Summer & winter. Its the townies & West coast newbies who are clueless. Gotta adapt to ones environment. Best truck i ever had up here was a lil Chevy Love 4WD. Even with no tail weight it was awesome! Only drawback was no wiper motor. Had a string tied to both wipers that ran inside in a loop & my wife pulled the cord back/forth to move the wiper blades. ADAPTATION! 😁
As a Bavarian I'm with the comment of Magnus from Sweden: we've often worse conditions in winter. And I'd say it's unimaginable at equal road conditions that so many accidents happen here. And I think I know the reason why: we've a winter tire duty in Europe. You don't have this in the US. And to compare it with something different as a handcrafter - for each job there's a special tool. In this case winter = winter tires. You wouldn't try to fell a tree with a Swiss knive, would you? 😉
The issue is climates. In most states in the US winter conditions aren't permanent for he season. You might have a week of weather like this and then be 60 with no snow the next week. That all said America's strength used to be personal responsibility and that's gone now of days. For this that ment people used to know their capabilities, their vehicles ability, and operate safely. Now the mindset is a bunch of kids that don't care and just have the opinion of whatever insurance will pay me if I crash.
@@jefffraser4345 Hi, Jeff! Got this. Winter's here aren't snowy all day, too. But it's permanently quite cold. We've a duty for winter tires from October to Easter. Makes sense. Winter tires have a different compound to summer tires. They've a way better grip at low temperatures. Even on dry surfaces. So more or less everyone in Central Europe owns winter And summer tires. If you'd go on summer tires and cause and accident no insurance company will pay you a cent.
@@manfredhuschitt3469 I'm actually kinda shocked tire manufacturers and big auto shop chains haven't lobbied (payed off) our politicians to do that here. That'd make them an insane fortune. However there's no way I or most other Americans would be okay with a law requiring snow tires. That said we do have laws in certain areas for commercial vehicles requiring things like chains or snow tires. For us the government involvement in regulating safety in an industry is more tolerable but we highly oppose regulations against individuals.

@@jefffraser4345 I know, Jeff. I've a buddy in Pittsburgh. There are so many things that differ a lot between here and over there... 😉 But to refer the winter tires again - you could see it like that: the government takes care on us when they are passing a law to keep all out there on the roads safe. And it's definitely safer on our roads in winter. You really must be scared with so many drivers sliding over the road so randomly.
I'm wondering if in these States having winter tires is mandatory?. In Canada, it is mandatory and you'll get a hefty fine if you don't have them during winter time
You really can't. We don't get roads that stay snow-covered for months. Usually get snow and the next day or two it is cleared and the roads are dry so the benefits one gets from snow tires are lost most of the time. All-season radials make the most sense for most people given the varied conditions.
@@cvn6555 Good points, but _winter_ tires (they are not snow tires per se) have one benefit even without snow or ice on the road: They're made with a softer rubber that has better traction than all-seasons at low temps, even in the dry (all other factors kept equal)
@@nthgth They also wear more rapidly. Tires for my car generally run about 800 apiece so I have to consider longevity and dry/wet adhesion in all conditions. And, yes, my all-seasons have the logo with the mountain peaks on the side but they are not snow tires or dedicated winter tires.
What I found crazy during a travel in US some years ago was how people drove fast during a kind of snow storm. It's like if "the speed limit it 80mph" I can go at 80 mph... I don't care if there's ice on the road or snow. I had been overtaken by trucks.. and I wasn't slow at all. :)

These accidents are caused by the lack of winter tires in vehicles. In Russia, we have long winter and heavy snow than that, but cars don't collide like that on highways.
All the drivers who lost control hopefully had a crash course in the limits of ADHESION on sub zero snowy roads. AMATURES. The person driving wrong way...ugh. I just hope everyone was ok.
I don't know if this is true or not, but my impression is the drivers are MUCH worse than they were even two years ago. It's like the pandemic made people's brains fall out, while also making them convinced they have to be everywhere NOW and damn anyone who gets in their way. Lots more speeding, red light running, etc, and if you take that attitude and put it on black ice, this is what you get.
@@calliarcale I agree with your last sentence. No one stops at stop signs any more, everyone but the extreme minority will run a red if it's "fresh", speed limits are suggestions, and if you travel at the speed limit you are tailgated. I also believe are our winters aren't as bad as they used to be.
Never amazes me. I can't walk through a grocery store without these morons knocking into my cart, suddenly turning in front of me and exiting rows and nearly hitting me. They are all so self-absorbed and unconcerned about others. They drive as they do everything else in their lives.
driving in Austria in the Winter without Winter Tires, one could get in trouble. ( fines up to 5000Euros, and you must pay by yourself for the damage, if you cause an accident)
The plow trucks don't put salt or sand on the roads so you can go faster. Its to keep you safer at the low speeds you should be driving in those conditions.
As someone that has to drive the tollways to work every time it snows in a front wheel drive sedan (I have average all season tires, sized: 245/45/18) I learned that steady maneuvers work best. No quick, sudden moves or changes of speed or direction on snowy/icy roads. Wanna change lanes? Let off the gas as you cross over the white hashed lines (usually still covered in a wall of snow) and let the car coast into the clear areas of the lane fully before you reapply gas. Keep your tires in the clearest part of the lane you are in when driving. Give yourself and others EXTRA space when changing directions/lanes, for their sake and yours. Apply accelerator and brakes the same way: Slow and steady. If you are an inexperienced driver in foul weather, and (for safety reasons) need/prefer to drive slower, that's great, but stay out of the far left passing lanes! And know your car's traction limits and how to correct it in emergencies, cause there will always be someone who doesn't. 😂
yup yup, good advice. I live in the Twin Cities and pre-COVID I was driving through this crap all the time. Slow down as the conditions warrant, keep your distance, and don't do anything sudden be it turning, acceleration, or braking. Better to take 90 minutes to get home than not at all.
The NUMBER on question you have to ask yourself before you even go out in stormy weather is if it's necessary. If you MUST then it pays to drive slower if the roads are not clear or you can't tell if there is ice or not. The other big tip people forget is when you begin to slip, DO NOT SLAM on the brakes. Take your foot off the gas, and even downshift your car if you can to reduce speed (this will cause the engine to act as brake, but still let you maintain control, because in some cases ,it is still possible to lock up anti-locking brakes). Secondly, for people with sedans, put sandbags in the back (over the wheels ideally, but behind the front seats is fine or in the trunk if you have to. The point is to have extra weight in the back so it won't fishtail as much. Yes you may get slightly worse gas mileage but we are talking about safety, and the impact of an extra 200-300 lbs of sand bags might drop your fuel economy maybe 1-2 mpg at most, but it will make for a safer drive (especially true at highway speeds). Because if you look at a lot of cars that slide around in the winter, many start to fishtail, then the driver makes the mistake of slamming on the brakes, and they were probably going too fast for conditions to begin with. Slow down. It's usually far less of a headache to be a little late, than either end up in the hospital or have to deal with the insurance company because you got in an accident.

It was crazy how fast people were passing me on 35W. But as a former bus driver I tried to continue to maintain my distance, look far enough ahead to find out if there were any problems, and reduced my speed as we were taught.
Not for nothing, but front wheel drives are FAR more stable in snow than rear wheel drive ones. Don't believe me? Try doing donuts in each one.
Yeah better front wheel drive than rear which will have you fish tailing all over. The narrower the tyres the better too.
Maybe your rental had worn out tires? These rental companies are cheap

Exactly!
The biggest problem you see with a lot of these are drivers starting to slide and they make a big mistake by slamming on their brakes. This causes the car to slide without control. Take your foot off the brake and steer the car.
This was true-er in the old days before ABS
@@tehagent1321 - Yep, with modern ABS it's the opposite of the old conventional wisdom. You just jam on the brake and let the technology do the work of pumping the brakes for you, with greater efficiency than the old pump and release. Maintains the traction with the road via sensors. Of course, going into a sideways skid and you'll need to engage other emergency maneuvers.
Take your foot off the gas and think about what to do WHEN, (not IF) someone slides on that kind of ice.
Pump the brakes lightly and steer
@@mdemers767 its not just about abs, the traction control will kick in and control the required wheels as needed regardless of pedal input. Its your job to tell it where to go and if you want to slow down, but this becomes much more difficult on slippery roads so it has to be done gently.

The way I handle icy and snow packed highways, I just leave my car in the garage and drink hot tea in my big easy chair as I watch the news and see all the dummy's who drove today wrecking their cars right and left!
This is the wisest among all the "expert drivers" on TH-cam
Unemployed?
I can't believe someone that lives in Minnesota forgets how to drive in snow.
Pandemic and lack of enforcement changed a lot of things. Question is can we reign it back to an except able level?
There not just in Minnesota..there in every town city state and country.
Maybe they're out-of-staters!
Motorcycle racing, we used to say "when in doubt , GAS IT" , does not seem to work here.
Me laughing at people as I just continue about my day as if nothing has happened in my diesel gladiator on 40s
I have 4 wheel drive. I`m over confident.
I have 4 wheel drive and I STILL drive slow (to the extend that people STILL PASS ME! You know, got to get to that ski mountain!) People are stupid!
And now it is people with AWD who think their vehicles are supercars! Slow down!!!
@@1packatak ppl think the ability to start moving equals the ability to stop, not even close
I drove a Geo Metro in Minnesota on icy highways and I could feel every slippery spot and would slow down while bigger cars would fly by me....then into the ditch. One guy tailgated me while I was doing everything to keep my car straight. Just nuts how people drive in winter.
you mean Suzuki Swift.
Get studded tires. Better traction on ice w studs than summer tires on dry pavement. In other words, adapt to conditions. Be smarter than ice.
what you drive makes a big difference ...

This cracks me up as it's in Minnesota as everyone up north says no one down south knows how to drive in snow/ice. Yet I see just as many incidents!
I'm wondering if in these States having winter tires is mandatory?. In Canada, it is mandatory and you'll get a hefty fine if you don't have them during winter time
only Quebec mandates winter tires and then mountainous areas. dont paint a picture that the whole country mandates them
Yessss. Sweden have mandatory winter tires to. This is not bad road conditions it's bad tiers. Summer tires are soap in the winter.
You really can't. We don't get roads that stay snow-covered for months. Usually get snow and the next day or two it is cleared and the roads are dry so the benefits one gets from snow tires are lost most of the time. All-season radials make the most sense for most people given the varied conditions.
@@cvn6555 Good points, but _winter_ tires (they are not snow tires per se) have one benefit even without snow or ice on the road:
They're made with a softer rubber that has better traction than all-seasons at low temps, even in the dry (all other factors kept equal)

I guess it's hard to realize that if the temperature is near or below freezing, that the roads might possibly be slick.
People can be idiots.
No snow here but I am betting my auto insurance will go up. Nice video
These accidents are caused by the lack of winter tires in vehicles. In Russia, we have long winter and heavy snow than that, but cars don't collide like that on highways.
Northern drivers always make jabs at visiting southern drivers when they get out in the snow. At least we have an excuse.
I moved to the twin cities from texas and I've had zero issues with snow. I have good tires, 4wd, and common sense.
Actually, no. No one ever has, period.
@@westellmodel Are they dedicated snow tires? If not, buy some ! 4WD/AWD is worthless. It IS 100% the tires and proper driving, period.
No, you don't have an excuse. If you can't drive in snow, *DON'T!* You become a liability.
All the drivers who lost control hopefully had a crash course in the limits of ADHESION on sub zero snowy roads. AMATURES. The person driving wrong way...ugh. I just hope everyone was ok.
Doesn’t Minnesota usually get a lot of snow and ice? You’d think people that lived there would be experts at driving in this stuff!
Like most of'em think, a bit of snow doesn't scare me of, hit the throttle and lets go home.
Native Minnesotan watching comfortably from here in Southern California.
Being in fire for 20 years, it never amazes me anymore how stupid and self absorbed people are on the roadway.
Never amazes me. I can't walk through a grocery store without these morons knocking into my cart, suddenly turning in front of me and exiting rows and nearly hitting me. They are all so self-absorbed and unconcerned about others. They drive as they do everything else in their lives.
How about using winter tires? We have to have winter tires on our cars in winter here in Germany.
so ein quatsch, winterreifen. die deutschen wissen doch eh immer alles besser. winterreifen braucht kein mensch. ;-)
Half of these were the result of some clown thinking they were invincible and driving too fast.
Winter in Minnesota, that’s all I have to say.
People in Minnesota can't drive when the roads are dry. Act like they have never driven in snow even though they live in Alaska Jr
Some people don’t realize they need to slow down….65mph…. WEATHER PERMITTING …..!!!!
Watching from Australia (where it was 38C today). You guys are nuts. Whatever that white stuff is it looks cold and slippery.
Winter tires with studs? No, we haven't heard ! :))
Studs aren't allowed here
Sorry this isn’t Russia bud
@@minivanmaster Actually plastic studs are usable in Minnesota, no steel or carbide on the road.
@@minivanmaster А будут разрешены, кто-нибудь купит? Кстати около нуля на гололёде только шипы и держат машину. Липучки скользят как по катку.
driving in Austria in the Winter without Winter Tires, one could get in trouble. ( fines up to 5000Euros, and you must pay by yourself for the damage, if you cause an accident)
That's how it should be in the US. Insurance is just a scam. I own a business and I've got like 8 policies. Unbelievable
Same in Canada
Slow down people, guard rail lives matter too.
I was sitting in the southwest thinking to myself.. if I should wear a sweater this afternoon for the chill. lol..
Gets new snow tire the day prior
"I am invincible!!!"
You never see so many accidents in a video. Let alone a less than 3 minute one. Heck yes. Thank you. 🙌🙌🙌
It's a tow truck driver's wet dream!... I hope everyone is ok!!
This is real life, not fiction. This is really scary stuff!
People from the north always tell me how they know how to drive in the snow… hmmmm
Most of us actually do. These people are just stupid.
The plow trucks don't put salt or sand on the roads so you can go faster. Its to keep you safer at the low speeds you should be driving in those conditions.
I love to see this. These are the same tools that come to Georgia and tell me how southerners can't drive on snow the one day a year we might get it.
So, does anyone know what was up with the wrong way driver with the hood up?
Wouldn’t that driver be someone spaced out on a street drug? Such as meth, flaka, skooma, or whatever drugs they have these days?
@@Supernumerary Could have just been alcohol. Everyone knows alcohol protects you from serious injury and death.
Even on the opposite side of the road from the crazy wrong way driver you aren't safe! 🤣
In German, a driver going the wrong way is "Geisterfahrer" - ghost driver.
Hey Minnesota...thought you knew how to drive during winter!?! LOL
Jeremy Clarkson effect :: Speeeeeeeed
Blows my mind how many accidents happen in a short period of a few hours during bad weather cause people don’t slow down to a safe speed
Slow down. It's usually far less of a headache to be a little late, than either end up in the hospital or have to deal with the insurance company because you got in an accident.
this one video has soo much chaos in it and just shows just how clueless people are when it comes to driving in the winter
They are all great drivers, its all the weathers fault, the drivers are doing their utmost best to drive safely and carefuly and mindful to anyone else on the road. They are an inspiration to us all...........
Almost spun out on I94 twice during that storm in Fargo in a 4wd vehicle and decided to stop using the interstate in bad weather. When wind starts blowing over the roadway the black ice is no joke when below zero.
A few years ago, it had just started snowing and roadway didn't look bad, but I was on the Northeast extension of the PA turnpike for about 45 minutes and in that time we saw 27 separate accidents! One car was on top of medial wall. It was crazy, but roads were deceiving, we slid out once too. People think if they have 4 wheel drive that they won't slide, everyone slides when its ice!
This is why body shops love the bad winter weather!!
Seems a lot of city folk fled to wilds of Minnesota with no idea about snow and ice.
I can't believe there are that many people out, let alone that many people driving poorly. I guess i shouldn't be surprised.
It is a personal study driving in the opposite direction and being able to understand the reaction of drivers coming from correct lane.
