Debilitated Planets (Neech Grah): These planets are positioned in specific signs and houses in your kundli where they tend to give negative results. For example, the Sun is debilitated in Libra (7 number Rashi), Saturn in Aries (1 number Rashi), Ketu in Taurus (2 number Rashi) and Gemini (3 number Rashi), Mars in Cancer (4 number Rashi), Venus in Virgo (6 number Rashi), Moon and Rahu in Scorpio (8 number Rashi), Rahu in Sagittarius (9 number Rashi), Jupiter in Capricorn (10 number Rashi), and Mercury in Pisces (12 number Rashi).
Neech Bhang: This occurs when a debilitated planet in your kundli is rendered incapable of giving negative results due to specific conditions.
Neech Bhang Raj Yog: This special yoga is formed when a debilitated planet not only loses its negative influence but starts to provide highly positive results, often becoming more beneficial than exalted planets in your chart.
Conditions for Neech Bhang:
1. Conjunction with Rashi Lord: If the debilitated planet is in conjunction with the lord of the Rashi it is in. For example, Saturn in Aries (1 number Rashi) is in conjunction with Mars, or the Sun in Libra (7 number Rashi) is in conjunction with Venus.
2. Aspect by Rashi Lord: If the Rashi lord aspects the debilitated planet. For example, Mercury in Pisces (12 number Rashi) aspected by Jupiter from the 1st, 3rd, or 11th house.
3. Placement in Specific Houses: If the debilitated planet is placed in the 3rd, 6th, 8th, or 12th house.
4. Rashi Lord in Kendra: If the lord of the Rashi where the debilitated planet sits is placed in a Kendra (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th house).
5. Exalted Rashi Influence: If the Rashi lord of the exalted sign of the debilitated planet is in a Kendra. For example, Venus in Pisces (12 number Rashi, where Venus is exalted) influences the debilitated planet.
6. Conjunction with Exalted Planet: If an exalted planet is in conjunction with the debilitated planet in its sign of debilitation.
7. Combustion by the Sun: If the debilitated planet is in close conjunction with the Sun and gets combust.
Formation of Neech Bhang Raj Yog:
Neech Bhang Raj Yog forms when the above conditions involve the 1st, 5th, or 9th house lords. For example, if the 5th house lord is Sun and it is debilitated in Libra but meets the conditions for Neech Bhang.
Activation of Neech Bhang Raj Yog:
The yoga gets activated during the Dasha or Antardasha of the planet involved in Neech Bhang Raj Yog. Many successful individuals have this yoga activated during crucial periods in their lives.
Confirming Neech Bhang Raj Yog:
To confirm the yoga, check the degrees of the planets involved. The planet doing Neech Bhang should be stronger in degrees than the debilitated planet. For instance, if Saturn is in Aries (debilitated) and Mars is also there, Mars must have higher degrees to perform Neech Bhang.
Example:
If Jupiter is debilitated in Capricorn (10 number Rashi) and Saturn is in a Kendra, Jupiter will not form Neech Bhang Raj Yog unless Saturn is stronger by degrees. The most powerful planets are typically between 15-20 degrees.
