Apparently the rank of captain in this world puts you charge of a entire guard. But it is a honorary title with the actual rank being either general or commander. Not certain. Memory is kind of fuzzy in that regard.
Funny, when I casted who should play the mare versions of Shining Armor and Flash Sentry, I casted female Shining to be played by Nicole Sullivan (Shego) and female Flash to be played by Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible). Imagine those two playing those roles with David Kaufman (Danny Phantom) as male Twilight Sparkle.
The perspective is a bit wonky. I think it would be better if done entirely in Shining Armor's PoV either in first person or third person limited instead of having most of the story in his PoV with brief and sudden shifts to Flash or Twilight. The description tends to repeat itself too. I like the cutesy tone through in through. I like the pairing as well and the simple characterization.

Or the whole Guard Captain is more an honorary title.
Apparently the rank of captain in this world puts you charge of a entire guard. But it is a honorary title with the actual rank being either general or commander. Not certain. Memory is kind of fuzzy in that regard.
Funny, when I casted who should play the mare versions of Shining Armor and Flash Sentry, I casted female Shining to be played by Nicole Sullivan (Shego) and female Flash to be played by Christy Carlson Romano (Kim Possible). Imagine those two playing those roles with David Kaufman (Danny Phantom) as male Twilight Sparkle.

The perspective is a bit wonky. I think it would be better if done entirely in Shining Armor's PoV either in first person or third person limited instead of having most of the story in his PoV with brief and sudden shifts to Flash or Twilight. The description tends to repeat itself too. I like the cutesy tone through in through. I like the pairing as well and the simple characterization.
