Thank you so, SO much for these! I'm making my first artdoll based off a character I really like. He has short, slicked back hair, and I had barely found anything on natural hairlines. Those help a lot (: I will be making some tests, especially since short hair does indeed seem more difficult... and if it doesn't work, well, at least I learnt a lot! Your dolls look absolutely stunning, and it's a pleasure to watch! I love all the dedication you put into this art form, all the attention to detail, and that you show the "mess ups" as well. No matter how professional something ends up looking, they're always bound to happen, and learning to work with and fix mistakes is an integral part of any art process I believe. Not all people making tutorials over here show those parts of it. Also totally feel you with trying to record and not paying attention to the camera when you get immersed 🤣 Anyways, thank you so very much. These are invaluable 💖
@thylascene There's many characters who could fit that description, I think! It's the Master from Doctor who, specifically in his Anthony Ainley incarnation. The wig making went well, considering I couldn't find the heat resistant film so I used a thicker one and that I used synthetic hair. It's a temporary one though, I'm looking forward to work with natural hair! I stuck the hair in longer bits and cut as I went, cleaning with a brush after each layer.
@@salmonidos one of the characters i tought of when reading that description was an anime villain (hidan, from naruto), never seen Doctor Who, but it looks like a cool movie with cool characters lol also that's nice, seeing other people talk about the doll-making process is a nice way to stay motivated in the hobby, thanks for replying :')
Golden week holiday is just starting here in Japan, so I should have time to finish the part three soon. The script is done and footage exists. It's just that editing takes time because we are still learning it. 😅
Thank you. Please let me know if you have any requests for future videos. I've been filming most of work for the past year, but it's hard to pick what topic to start editing next.
@@EmiliaCouture hhhhh i was just exited for the new vidéo don’t mind me lol ...thank you for taking time to reply I hope that your channel will grow more because your doll are amazing and you as well 🤗
I think I need to post videos more regularly for this channel to take off. What comes to the fiber, my favourite is alpaca and I get it from Etsy. My favourite shops are Karmandolls and LaFiabaRussa.
Thank you so much for making these videos I find them so helpful and taking my skills to the next level I really appreciate you and your work is incredible
I just came from part 1 😆✌🏻 and I’m in love with your amazing work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻💖💖🌷💖🌷💖🌷 Absolutely beautiful dolls and One day I’m gonna purchase one of your beautiful dolls 👍🏻💕💕💕 Looking forward to see more of your beautiful dolls and amazing videos ❤️
😂 I kept saying tire instead of tier in the voice over, and even after several takes one tire still crept into the final video, and I was too tired to set up the recording gear and redo the take.
I can’t wait to see your next video, I’ve been trying different ways to make wigs and I really like your technique, so much less waiting for glue to dry. I can’t wait to give it a try, I just need to get two way stretch fabric.
I tried many glues too but they took ages to dry and the horrid chemical fumes triggered my asthma. Hot glue is really easy and fast. You can use even tricot as the cap fabric, but I find netting fabric is easier to soak through with the glue.
I would love for you to make a video on how to fix wigs when we get Blue on the hair without starting completely over I’ve had to start over I don’t know how many times because I keep messing up the parting line
Thank you Emilia! This is very interesting. Can you please share eventually where to buy those beautiful alpaca hair? I've tried but it's difficult to find the best thin hair without seeing them in person...
Sure, but I've accumulated them all over the place. Bought a lot in Moscow doll salon, mostly I just get them from Etsy. I just didn't want to promote any seller above another. I guess I should make a video about the materials too.
@@EmiliaCouture I know LaFiabaRussa, I bought one time some alpaca but maybe I choosed the wrong kind, since it was thicker than my hair. Thank you for sharing!! 🤗

Yeah I was waiting for the video all week great video as always thank you for the detailed explanation specially for the fibers used ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sorry to make you wait! I'll try to get the next part in faster. The parts 2 and 3 were meant to be just one video, but it just got too long.

That's weird. I've mostly been happy with the quality, although one custom order blue faded grey over time.
what do you use to make the waves in the hair stay wavy?
I noticed when I brush Mohair hair I lose a lot of it. Do you have any tips for this?
Can I ask how much hair did this take... in grams? Many thanks!!
