Oooh we are taking these on our road trips! Thank you for the tutorial. I haven’t seen these at our Walmart but I’m going to keep looking.

They are with the ribeyes or other thin slices of beef.

It tastes AWESOME! You inspired me & I made some. Walmart thin sliced bottom round, salted both sides. Toaster oven- Convection at 170F for 60 mins, flipped over and 60 mins. Was eaten on the spot completely by my teen sons and me. Poor dogs were begging like your cat.

For clarity are you saying 60 minutes on one side - turn over and cook for another 60 minutes on the other side?

Looks delish…. Just put some in my airfryer/dehydrator to try. I was pleased to see only need to leave for 2.5 hours. Every one else I saw were leaving for much longer… I plan to eat right away so should be good. Thanks for sharing!

Delicious. I'm a very simple carnivore, meat, eggs and salt is all I need, no need for all that fancy carnivore stuff that many people seem to enjoy, but have been thinking to make my own dehydrated meat for some time just so I'm sure it's just meat and salt and it is convenient to have some while traveling or when at work. I think you convinced me to finally get a dehydrator too. Thank you 💖💖💖 Enjoy the delicious meat 🥩🥰

Yum! And I love eating with my hands! Perfect for traveling too. I'm in Germany and have never seen such thin-sliced beef but I bet my butcher could do that.
Could you use an oven if you don't have a dehydrator? 🤔

I'm getting ready to get into this. I wonder if after you dehydrate them and pull them from the fridge if you threw it in a pan for a minute with some butter

Why not! You would just be rehydrating them with more fat.

How many days would this be safe to eat if I brought it on a camping trip without refrigeration?

vacuum pack after drying, keep in the dark, lasts a LONG time - def'y 6 months or more.

That looks delicious... I have never seen shaved beef for sale, but I am going to see if a butcher would make it for me. I am really sorry now I gave my $650.00 Dehydrator away... I only used it once... I guess I wasn't ready for a dehydrator when I was a vegan... Now I am Carnivore and don't have it anymore.

How do you make this in an oven? Is it just as good?

I haven’t tried it. I think if you do it in a very low setting it would be!
