Actually, I drove up 12 hours to come here. It's such a lovely place to walk and have some Georgian pastries and ice cream. The view at the bay is amazing at sunset

I have to say this is a great place....only because I live here.
Oh I’m so envious!
Midland is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited , while I was in Ontario.
It would have been a privilege to have been able to live there myself.
I remember a lovely little gift shop “The Crows Nest” and brought back Kanata (Ty Canadian Beanie Baby) from there. I’ve never seen another one & I will never part with it.
I also recall the couple from UK who owned the Pet Shop and I loved having a chat with them.
Was it the bakery that used to decorate their window for Halloween?…… it always looked amazing (as did all the other shops as well).

I loved The Crows Nest Gift Shop (I don’t think it’s there anymore 😢) and also enjoyed chatting to the lovely couple that owned the Pet Shop….. they were from the UK.

I used to own a house on Victoria Street. I sold it when I was working in the states for a couple of years just before 9/11 happened. If I knew about 9/11 I would never have sold the house. Now I can't afford to buy it back. Heck, I can't even afford to rent in my hometown anymore. but I hope someday things will go back and become affordable. I would love to move out of Toronto and back to Midland.

We cannot see any homeless people there, that is a good thing
