- Each fall, nature photographer Thomas D. Mangelsen rises early to document the elk who gather on the bank of the fog-shrouded Snake River, their bugles echoing in the crisp morning air. Watch as the bulls with their harems of cows cross the river to spend the day in the conifer forest of Signal Mountain in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

Hey Tom... good stuff here!!
Profoundly beautiful, thank you for taking such beautiful photography, and sharing it with people like me. Love the elk bull calling.
Stunning video Mr. Mangelsen. I have been to the Tetons in the summer, but I would love to come in the fall. The bull in the mist is simply magnificent.
Absolutely stunning video. For anyone who's been to the Grand Tetons and misses it, like I do, this will really take you there. Such incredible images from Tom and terrific video work by Sue. I love the autumn mountain music that is the bugling elk!
Great clip Thomas. That is one of my fave places in the world
... awesome scenery !!
Love the video, I have never been to Jackson Hole for the elk rut....I have been to RMNP, maybe I will come up this fall (2013) and hope to see you there. Edward Snow
