Good to see how the Nürnberg airport looks, I also plan to fly from this airport :-) Nice, that your experience with checked luggage was good, I always afraid to check my luggage :-D In last 3 years I checked my bag only once (on long-haul from HKG). Now I prefer to take my luggage on board also on long-hauls (I know, sometimes it's bit stressful).

Regarding the checked luggage, you know, everyone has its personal opinion and inclination. If you're afraid to drop it you're right to carry on-board.
