Greetings from Redondo Beach CA 🇺🇸. Nothing beats organically grown fresh vegetables and fruits. Not to mention wild caught fish not farmed with toxic chemicals. I missed all these locally grown veggies. Beautiful town. Hi to all CKCians batch ‘83. I grew up in San Fernando and went to CKC from elementary to HS (batch ‘83). I recommend to visit Yukee’s Eatery and Back Pack Inn and try their Singaporean noodles located behind CKC. Mabuhay 🥂🥰

Thank you for this! That was a beautiful walk through that market we visited in June 2023 coming from California. We miss Bauang, that's my mother-in-law's hometown. In fact, she used to own the Nancy's Mini-Store (at 1:03) before getting married; in her 70s now. She's related to families of Balagot, Natino, and Deguzman. That store maybe the only remaining original store from that row of stores on that stretch of street. Her brother and his wife run it now. I remember they used to call that public market the "Pagoda" as it did have a pagoda years ago before it became Bauang Commercial Center. It has come a long way., thank you again for the vid!

Beach Capital and Fruit Basket of the North - Bauang, La Union. The town of Bauang introduced the first grapes farm in the Philippines since 1970s by late Avelino Lomboy (Grape King of the Philippines)
Fun Fact : Bauang, La Union used to be the Beach Capital of the Philippines during 1960s/1970s via Knowledge Channel. A lot of legendary Filipino celebrities had already visited La Union during their youthful years like FPJ, Susan Roces, Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos etc. Jennifer Adriano Arias or known to be Rosanna Roces was a club dancer before in Bauang La Union . She's discovered and became a sexy icon during 90s and got her screen name "Rosanna Roces" (Osang).
