This game was so good ! My favorite was definitely Tyril 🥰. I was so emotionnaly engaged in his story, so much that his ending left me completely heartbroken 😢. And the abrupt way they used to thrown us into the next route was so painfully good.
Yes! This game really knows how to tug on your heartstrings! I think Tyril had the best story and character development and his route gave me the most jaw-dropping moments. 😢 Tyril's route was my first one completed and when it ended I was like "NO! It can't end like that!" But I didn't even have time to emotionally recover since they immediately throw you in to the next route. 😂
I wouldn’t mind a few more otome games taking this system and using it. It might not of felt like a otome game down to its core but it was a fully immersive story.
I agree! It would be nice if more otome companies branched out and tried a different style every now and then. It was really refreshing to try out a more interactive game and I'd love to play more titles like this in the future!
The timing of this video is PERFECT!!!! I was eyeing this game for a while and now I am 100% sure that I will get it when its on sale on switch! Magnificent video as always
Thank you so much for watching! This game was such a refreshing change of pace and the storyline structure is one the best that I've seen in an otome game! I'd definitely keep an eye out for the sales (hopefully they'll do another one soon) 👀
I finished this game yesterday. I LOVED it. It wasn’t perfect and you can tell this was their first fully voiced game. The game also crashed SO much for me. Good thing I was saving after every single choice. As someone who played mobile voltage games in the past I was thoroughly impressed. I stopped paying them when I discovered games by Aksys. So when I saw this was by Voltage I was hesitant. But it was on sale half price so I went for it and I had no regrets. I binged the whole game in 4 days xD
I feel like we had the *exact* same experience with this game! 😆 I think for their first console only game they did a pretty good job. Like you said it wasn't perfect and there are some things I would've liked to have seen expanded upon but overall I think it was a great game! I hope that they continue to release more titles for the switch and I'm sure they'll improve more and more as they release new titles. I also binged this game in like a week, I just couldn't put this game down! 💕
Autumn would be the *perfect* time to play this game! I'm glad the fan disk is coming out during spooky season, it'll really fit the theme. 😆

Since this game came out I was debating if I want to buy it even if it was on sale. I also started my otome adventure with mobile games, but after I switched to console games I never looked back xD but after your review I will definietly give it a chance
I hope you enjoy it! I'm so glad voltage released a switch game (I rarely play mobile games nowadays). 😆 Hopefully, with the success of even if TEMPEST, they'll release more switch titles in the future!
I'm still at like my first trial in tyril's route I wanna play it blind for my first walkthrough but it was giving me so much anxiety cuz i didnt wanna accuse an innocent person lol. So i took a break and played some light otome games like dairoku and now im working on varibari. I'll get back on this soon tho since the fandisc came out. I love the concept for this tho cuz it does really remind me of the manhwas as well.
This game so good. The romance was meh for me until the ending. But the ending so satisfying. Unpopular opinion but I love Lucien so much and he my favorite love interest like he just so shy and cute. Like he scarfice himself for Anastasia multiple time which get to me not to mention grow bc of Ana and good with kid. A man after my heart. Then Zenn route so good. Special kudos to Maya love how she ride or die to Mc
@@buttercupvenus it starts off a bit slow, in my opinion, but once you get into it, it is quite good. Lots of creepy bad endings and i think the structure is slightly different from most games, though not as different as even if Tempest. If i remember correctly, the first 3 boys share a commen route and then the remaining two do not have a commen route and are locked. Personally i wasn't super into any of the guys, though they had their moments, i just love the creepy mysterious feeling 😆
@@buttercupvenus Definitely *strongly* recommend Nameless! It's my favourite title of Cheritz's (even counting Mystic Messenger). It was so dear to me I didn't want to finish it for the longest time - and I actually only 100%ed it last year, almost a decade after I started it, and replaying it from the start - and my opinion on certain LIs may have switched, but the emotional punches are still all there and accounted for. I cried all throughout the last two routes, and when I was done... You ever feel happy and grateful that a piece of media, just... exists? That was it. What I feel is truly unique about it is its tone. It deals with a lot of tragic topics in very humane, sympathetic ways, and some scenes will rip your heart clean out of your chest... but at the same time certain parts of it are hilarious. It has a very strong, distinctive cast and isn't afraid to go off the rails, and the translation being a bit wonky at times somehow only adds to its chars. I've yet to find a game that pulls off that mix of emotions in the same way, and it's really great at making its characters all the more easy to relate to (and a bunch of lovable weirdos). But yes, it is pretty sad and heartwrenching as well - and there's a real focus in the writing on the characters's pychology, which was fantastic to see. It's a romance game which is about people _understanding the other and finding comfort and recognition_ just as much as it is finding love. (and yes, creepy bad endings, certain, huh.... problematic dynamics, room for things to go wrong, an overarching mystery, symbolism, and suffering! Fun!) Of course it is subjective, but I really really love that game.
You've sold me on it! I'm definitely going to check it out. I LOVE stories that pull on my heartstrings and this one sounds like it'll be right up my alley!
Thank you for the review! The only voltage game I’ve ever played was Court of Darkness. (Imo it’s like a more detailed version of Obey me cuz of the similar concepts, it has some ticketless free stories almost like a common route and fully voiced premiums but I honestly shouldn’t spend so much on it anymore.😭) It was my first experience with a voltage game so I was at first overwhelmed but then hooked by the effort they put into the storytelling, characters and setting. (It felt organised to me) If voltage could give me that experience then I definitely want that immersive mystery action storytelling from Even If Tempest as well. I feel like the world building will whisk me away and I was getting isekai manhwa vibes too! I really like the va cast and omg yeah Shunsuke Takeuchi’s voice is so good!! His voice sounds so cosy, warm and deep. His voice is like a blanket. 😂 Idek what I’m saying. My heart did backflips when I heard him in IkeSen, I was instantly like I need to hear MORE from this guy. Also I finally have a switch now!! Cupid Parasite has been fun so far. 🥳 (Also also at the end I like how you worded all that! Agreed, it’s best to think for ourselves too. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!)
Thank you so much for watching! You literally described Shunsuke's voice perfectly when you said his voice is like a blanket 😆 I absolutely agree with you! Oh my gosh when I first heard him in IkeSen I was like "excuuuuuuuuuuse me????" Deep voices just hit differently you know? 😂 I'm especially drawn towards fantasy otome games and this one had such a good lore/setting that I got sucked in to its story right away. I hope you're having a great time with Cupid Parasite. That's another top tier otome! 💕
Heck yeah, new review! I'm going to have to wait a bit to watch that one, as I'm saving playing EiT for a special occasion -though will def buy the fandisk regardless, super responsible of me there- and this is maybe _the_ game I do not want spoiled. I really hope you enjoyed your time with it though! If the comments I've read around its release are to be believed this is kind of a game-changer. ^^ So yup, bookmarking this video for (potentially way, waaay) later, but still, happy it's there! I'm sure I'll be glad to hear your thoughts if/when I'm done - I'm certain you'll go in deep and have quite interesting things to say. I also heard people've suffered from particularly severe post-game depression after this one, is it the case for you as well? Hope you're managing! Have you already started playing something else, or are you taking a break? :)
Thank you for watching! I hope you have a great time playing this game when you get the chance. 💕 This game left me feeling super satisfied, I just wish it was a little bit longer! 😆 That just makes me for excited for the fan disk though so I can't complain LOL I'm currently playing Radiant Tale! Are you playing anything right now? 😊
@@buttercupvenus I absolutely get it! I'm excited for the fandisk and I've not played the base game, so you must be over the moon! Hope it ends up being everything you wish for when it releases.
I know what you mean about Winter's Wish! I did enjoy the game but I think it has some pacing issues with the storytelling. By the end game I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't blown away either. I was so surprised by how much I loved Kuga! In the beginning I was most excited for Tomonari and Yoichi but Kuga took me by surprise and I *really* enjoyed his route 💕 There has definitely been an increase in indie otome games lately and from what I've seen people have been really enjoying them. I would say definitely check some out if you're interested! 😊 I'm having a great time with Radiant Tale! It's very heartwarming and cute, but has a lot of emotional scenes that really pull on my heartstrings. I love Tifalia as a main character and I've enjoyed every LI route that I've played so far. I definitely think it'll be one of my favourite games in 2023!
I'm glad to hear you're having a good time with Winter's Wish! I had my eye on Tomonari from the beginning and his route ended up being one of my favourites. Since his route is locked it just made me anticipate his route even more everytime I saw him in the other LI routes! 💕 I really liked Kinji's route too. I liked learning about the customs/procedures with courtesans and I liked how they handled Suzuno infiltrating the red light district (still keeping her safety in mind)! There's just too many good games out there nowadays, both from indie and big companies. I'm happy that we have such a wide variety now but it doesn't help my backlog at all 😂
Dumb question Natalie, does the heroine start out with long hair and it gets cut? I am just curious because it's giving me Yona of the Dawn/Snow White with the Red Hair vibes lol. Because they had female leads with red hair that end up cutting their hair. I love me a good mystery so I may give this one a chance. I have heard about it. But it's going to be down the line. What did you think of the Main Char anyway? Great video btw! I hope you enjoyed making this one.
Anastasia starts out with long hair but it changes shortly in to the game. I really liked her as a main character. She had a lot of personal growth and her thought process was something I could easily believe/connect with. She's also very strong mentally and physically and regardless of how many times she gets knocked down she always got back up again. She's become one of my favourite otome heroines! 💕 Thank you for watching!
Thank you for this review!! Your otome reviews are awesome. I admit I bought Even If Tempest when it released but haven't played it yet. Your review has encouraged me! I just need to finish Chou no Doku Hana no Kusari. (Which I am surprised I am enjoying so much!)
I had originally bought it when it was on sale a few months ago, but I had left it in my backlog for ages before finally playing it. 😅 I'm really glad I finally decided to give it a go! Oh my gosh I hope you're having a great time playing Chou no Doku. That game was wild from start to finish and I loved every minute of it! 😆 Thank you for watching! 💕
