Harar is one of the import impressive Ethiopian historic destinations. Located in the East of Ethiopia, it has survived since the first millennium B.C. as a stronghold of Islam rules by 72 consecutive Imams.
The thick 5 meter/15 foot high walls stretch for 3 km/1.8 miles around town with six gates, built in the 16th century. Approximately 40,000 people live inside the maze of narrow, twisting alleys and lanes, complete with historic buildings, mosques, markets, shrines and tombs.
    What a scene!

Harare was such an interesting city and, of course, the night visit to see the hyenas was one of the most unusual things we've ever seen. Thanks so much for visiting my channel and commenting. Regards, Sheila

Isn't that strange how a person watches a video out of nowhere and they know the person? Please repeat our thanks to your friend. Harar is a fascinating town and I hope the video will encourage people to visit. Best regards, Sheila
