Dick I appreciate your work in the videos. I'm currently flying a PA-32R-301T and am hoping to move up to an M350 when I finish my instrument training. I'm curious about use of trim during the flare on landing. I've watched all your videos so I hear you asking for trim during the flare. I'm having some trouble with ballooning in the flare because I'm pulling back too hard instead of trimming up during the flare. Can you tell me your practice on trim use during final approach and flare? Thanks. Robert.

Hi Robert! I suspect that the reason you are ballooning is that you are too fast when you begin the flare. Fix the airspeed issue first, then use trim to flare at the correct rate, but only after you have made the decision to land. Check with your flight instructor before changing your technique. I have the GWX-75 radar. I can purchase the software unlock to make it the GWX-8000 (with Storm-optix) and AUTO MODE. for $15,000 !!!!!!!! Is it worth it ? Apparently in AUTO MODE, the radar sweeps horizontal and then vertical on each graphical sweep, removes ground clutter, analyzes the returns and then displays the threat only relative to the aircraft's altitude.

@@brianlee3146 Hi Brian, it seems that the upgrade adds convenience, not reliability. Check with your avionics specialist, but it could be that what you currently have is just fine.. speak with your flight instructor as well.. Fly Safely - Train Often .. DR
