I remember seeing a podcast of a restaurant in Europe. The customers would inform the waiter "Two Coffees & One for the Wall". The waiter in turn would repeat it aloud to the Cafe Owner. The Cafe Owner would give a bill of One Coffee, which the Waiter would pin on the Wall. This way new customers get to know about and the message gets spead by woed of mouth.
Also remember seeing 50 to 60 people sitting in neat rows outside a hitel in Mohammed Ali Road, Byculla. Some Customers offer to pay for certain number of lunch parcels, which are periodically served to the people waiting outside. A very good service for the needy.
