Beautiful resto on this bike ! Also a wonderful backdrop for your photos. My classmate had the mx100 this year . And we all just drooled on this bike as he wouldn’t let any of us ride it . Great memories of being 13 years old ! Thx for another great video !
Very nice restoration on this 73, 250. The yellow tank, side panels and fenders are what were used on the 1974 Yamaha 250 A MX. The 73 had a grey tank, and fenders, with a yellow strip. The side panels were made of fiberglass. The stock rear shocks had a remote reservoir at the bottom of the shock. They were too close to the chain, and they didn't last very long as they got chewed up. They were not very good shocks. The first things to get replaced were the very bad stock handlebars and the oil injection tank/pump. Fast and fun bikes.
I remember those awful "thermal flow" shocks. They had ridiculously heavy rebound damping and would lock up in the whoops. Still, I love the old Yamaha MX series.
