Great insights my friend. Glad you're doing well. Not easy navigating life as an adopted kid. Hope you're well in recent years!

@@isaacmerz6879 No problem man, I'm from Paraguay as well, prob pretty obvs my channel name haha. I got my story out there as well recently. I will say though my man, don't seek validation from anyone who doubts your identity. Keep saying your Paraguayo. Idc if you know 5 words in Spanish & Guaraní or 50,000 words. It's irrelevant. Your heart is paraguayo, your mind and soul is as well. Rep it hard, brother. I went through the journey of meeting my family, and it was very very hard to deal with. I'm glad your're prioritizing yourself and the new generation you're bringing into this world. It's a lot to take on at once. The only reason I did at 21, was b/c I didn't have much responsibility. Anyways, I took 1 look at you and was like yup he's Paraguayan. Your tranquil nature and demeanor is Paraguayan as well. I guarantee once you do actually go, you'll here the same exact thing. We may have had to live in a strange land all our lives, but the moment you touch down, I guarantee you'll be accepted by everyone. Let them know you were born there. Good luck my man. It's now your turn to raise the next generation of Paraguayos. We don't talk halves or thirds or none of that when it comes to ppl & family in PY like in the USA. You're paraguayo so they are as well. Take care, and best wishes to your new family.
The thing is most adopted kids never adopt kids, and never pay forward, makes you wonder
Great point! .. and I often think about that ... people just see adoption as a super positive win win ... but if you slow it down and understand the trauma from the child's perspective.. things really start to come to light!
