  • Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony at the newly constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya, a momentous event in India's cultural and religious history. This ceremony marks the consecration of the deity Ram Lalla, representing a significant milestone in the temple's journey.
The event, attended by over 8,000 guests, including spiritual and religious leaders from various sects and communities, was a vibrant display of India's diverse cultural fabric. Prominent figures like RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also graced the occasion.
The Ram Temple, a magnificent structure built in the traditional Nagara style, spans a length of 380 feet, a width of 250 feet, and a height of 161 feet. It is supported by 392 pillars and features 44 doors, with intricately sculpted depictions of Hindu deities, gods, and goddesses adorning its pillars and walls. The main sanctum sanctorum, at the ground floor, now houses the childhood form of Bhagwan Shri Ram.
This historic event is the culmination of a journey that began decades ago, rooted deeply in India's socio-political narrative. It started with the BJP announcing its support for the Ram Temple movement in 1989, leading to a series of legal and political developments over the years, including landmark court rulings and shifts in political landscapes.
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony is seen as a fulfillment of a long-cherished dream for many in India, symbolizing the embodiment of cultural and religious sentiments at the heart of Indian society.
