Service dogs are amazing! Mine is in training and recently alerted me to something being wrong and got me safely to the ground before I fell and did dpt (deep pressure therapy). I am so thankful she keeps me safe!
This just makes me want to cry. I saw a video of you guys the other night and just bawled because of how amazing this sweet girl is. What a blessing and I have your sweet girl and spy girl in my prayers that they always stay by each others sides and for protection. 🩷 thank you for sharing.
My cousin ended up raising funds a few years ago to get her son a diabetic alert dog. He has saved his life many times over the years. They had no clue he even had diabetes until he was in middle school.
Oh, I definitely agree with you guys! Service dogs are amazing if you train them right. I am training my seventeen month old golden retriever, female named Freja as an autism spectrum disorder/Asperger’s syndrome, assistance dog. I feel that service dogs need to receive more credit. It takes very special dog to do the job that they are required to do. Your dog is amazing, even though ,the dog is being owner trained. There is absolutely nothing wrong with owner training your dog. I have to owner train my dog, due to the finances. I just wish that we had a lot more access to service dogs, and people educate the public better on real service dogs Your dog did an amazing job alerting you. The girl is doing fabulous job training her service dog. ❤😊
A long time ago..I heard to raise your sugar fast...pour a sugar packet ( like what restaurant give you when you order coffee) directly under your tongue and let it dissolve in your mouth. Absorbing the sugar under your tongue takes the sugar straight to your bloodstream...faster than eating or drinking sugar that has to be Absorbed in your stomach before entering bloodstream.
Just a quick tip, the best foods/candies for a blood sugar boost is anything high in glucose. So candies for example whose ingredients list glucose syrup or corn syrup (not high fructose corn syrup) which is mostly glucose. Hope she is doing ok 🤗
Every one needs to watch this video and understand the importance of a service animals I get so upset with people and darn fake service animals in store and restaurants many people don’t know it illegal to say your pet if a service animal when’s it’s not. “Emotional support animals are not services animals please use this video to educate people
High blood sugar is always accompanied by the smell of almonds if your diabetic loved one smells of almonds and they're not eating anything with almonds in it then they are having a blood sugar issue
This canine is the reason that a dog is man's (or girl's) best friend because DOG spelled backwards is GOD. These videos allow me and others to learn just one more thing our canine friends can do for us.
I have great news. That dog is not an angel. Based on the video, that dog exists and can provide companionship and comfort without the need to abandon logic and reasoning. Enjoy that dog. It is real.
As a type 1 diabetic, Juice is a great way to raise sugar levels fast, There is a product called Transcend, a pure sugar gel made as acting to raise levels fast. Guideline: 15 grans of juice , check the carb count as some products are watered down. We need quick glucose to act fast in our systems. Insulin can drop blood levels very quickly. Something “nutritious “ can take too long to digest to raise sugar in time. I passed out when my level was 39 before Dexcom. I felt no symptoms which is what happens to long term diabetics. I am thin and compliant in my diet. Dexcom has been a big help but it isn’t perfect.. If I found a diabetic sensing dog, I would give it a wonderful home. Blessings to all of us, diabetic or not❤
@@ardiffley-zipkin9539 My cousin also uses candy and keeps it on her. It is easier than carrying juice. She has had a dexcom and an insulin pump for years. She has been in a diabetic coma twice. You learn what works the best after so much stuff happens to you.
the dog is adorable.. but if she has dexcom SHE DOES NOT NEED THE DOG. If the dog is supposedly one minute faster..who cares? BTW: the dogs jumping around-is not a standard way for a service dog to alert. BS (I am a pediatrician and dog lover but hate the misuse of the service dog appellation. blind, PTSD, even epilepsy I get. but some things are just unneeded) THE ONLY SCIENTIFIC STUDY DONE SHOWS DOGS MUCH LESS ACCURATE THAN DEXCOM (or other continuous glucose monitoring devices) AND have many false “alerts”
That minute can be a life or death moment for someone with severe diabetes. An earlier alert means having time to treat before it gets bad. I work at a school where a kid has Type 1 diabetes. The child had an emergency requiring an ambulance at one point because the dexcom didn't alert in time. Besides, it's harder to ignore a dog over a computerized device.
Under ADA, THAT DOG NEEDS TO BE UNDER CONTROL BY LEASH AS CLEARLY SHE DOES NOT NEED TO BE FREE TO TASK. you cause problems for people with SDs when you act entitled by that. The dog needs to be with the girl to task!
@@Ausgar-yc1yl NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...they can only be off leash if necessary to TASK. This SD needs to be WITH THE CHILD. The SD tasks by pawing the child....no reason to be off leash.....AND NO ONE WAS HOLDING THE LEASH! and clearly as for part of it, the child did have the leash over the shoulder...this dogs tasks are done ON LEASH.
Dogs are the best. This dear little girl knows her dog will always be there when she needs him the most. Service dogs are astonishingly brilliant, totally competent, loyal and loving.❤🐕🦺🦮🐕❤️🌼💕🌻💞🌺🤎🐾💜💙🩵💟❣️💝💓💛💚🩷🩶🧡🖤🤍🌷💛💚🐕🦺🦮❤️🐕😘🪷🪻😘😘😘😘😘

It kinda hurts my heart to see this pupper worrying about her human!
She looks kinda stressed out!
That's amazing. But doesn't the monitor she wears have an alarm?

My mom has diebetes
Isn’t there something more nutritious to raise her blood sugar than candy? Remarkable dog!

Wrong and wrong. Service dogs can be off leash, and sometimes else can hold the dogs leash for you. Try again.
