This was unbelievable, I remember almost all of this. I started watching Dave when he debuted on CBS, and this brought back some great memories. Don thank you so much for saving all of these, and sharing them with the world. Your collection belongs in the Library of Congress.
@@SpondonIAftab That's great to hear. Hope to see Sirajul reunite with Mujibur on the Letterman TH-cam channel. The Barbara Gaines Show is always looking for guest hosts 😂 Congrats on your wedding!
I'm so happy for them. A paid vacation to travel across America in the mid 90's, probably the best time to be living in America. Not to mention they got to be on TV, experience fame, even if just for a moment and just about everybody loves them.
That first night of the tour is what made me a Dave fan. I was in 7th grade and just had a really lousy evening full of 7th grade insecurities and embarrassments. That night I decided to give this Letterman guy a try and see what the fuss was about. I’ve been a dedicated fan ever since. I love Craig and Conan, but Dave was on a plane of his own. Thanks, Don!
51:20 the 1994 NBA Finals. 55:24 YES! 56:07 Matt Thomas today is the home PA announcer (2nd stint) and the road play by play radio announcer for the Houston Rockets Thanks for the clips!
I was 20 when this used to air on SKY TV in the U.K. I'd watched Dave on Channel 4 when they (for some reason showed 'Late Nights with') so I was a bit of a fan by the time these were aired. These shows were the highlight of my evening. Dave was and still is just naturally funny and irreverent. My only regret in life is that I never got to be part of the audience for a recording. Thanks for the effort with these Don, great and warming memories.
Twin Towers @7:11 Took a trip to NYC in August 2001...one of the pics on the roll was a great one of the towers from across the water, which included old glory waving from a flagpole, off the left. One month later, they were gone. I really enjoy your videos...thanks for sharing.
This was a surprise! A patriotic view of America, seen through the travels of Mujibur and Sirajul. The audience cheers over Mt Rushmore, as they recite the names of our great presidents. How great to see Niagara Falls and remember family trips to that place. What a fun visit with basketball players. Showing foreigners our beautiful country with pride. And I’m just about half way through the video. What a treasure. Now that I have seen the rest I feel even happier. I am reminded of how Great America is. We are not racists. Lord help this country!
I think my favorite appearance was when Letterman took them both shopping for new suits. Then afterwards they all went to the clubs! Fun clip, would love to see that one again.
I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s watching Dave all the time. I always remember Rupert Jee and even got to meet him last year at the Hello Deli when I was in NYC. But I had totally forgotten Mujibur and Sirajul. 😆 I even mentioned them to my mother the other day and she remembered them too. I wonder how they’re doing today?
Are you referring to 33 1/3 years of Dave, or this Coast to Coast collection. It the latter, this is all there is. If the former, yes, but it won’t happen.
To this day I talk about these two dude and NO one has a clue what I am talking about. Shame on anyone Gen X and before who don't know Letterman's skit with Mujibur and Sirajul!
If I remember correctly, I think these guys blew it by signing up with an agent and trying to monetize on their celebrity status with the Late Show. This was not received well by the Letterman people and we rarely saw them after 1995 or so , only coming on for the Christmas Tree show. Rupert was smart or humble enough that he never tried to extend his celebrity status outside of the Late Show which was appreciated by Dave and the Late Show.
Trust me, they are doing nothing but leading their ordinary lives. They aren't doing any acting. Their lives are too comedy to Americans. And that's cool. They both are my fellow countrymen. I know.
Thank you for this collection, Don. The Mujibur and Sirajul segments were favorites of mine during my high school days. Absolute gold.
I don't quite remember how old I was but I remember loving these segments
Me Too!
They're from my country Bangladesh
I'm the baby at 42:33 and that's my family! 🥰 They told me about this story and how we were featured in that show and finally found the video ❤️
Excellent! I’m so pleased you’ve finally gotten to see this. :)

This was so wholesome and positive. Long before reality TV
Miss those guys they were hilarious
Used to be strictly a Sirajul fan, but now I lean more towards Mujibur.
See I was more Mujibur and now am moving to Sirajul, that is if I remember which one is which....
Sirajul is my uncle!
@@SpondonIAftabReally? How is Sirajul these days?

That's a great story! Yeah, 7th grade is a rough one.
Thanks for sharing. My story on becoming a Dave fan was pretty much the same, except I was in the 9th grade and it was around 1999.
So much fun! God bless them!
Thank you Don Giller. Your latest subscriber 🙏
My father used to love these two. I had no idea how to pronounce their names correctly until I saw your compilation today!
Thanks so very much Don for putting this completion on my request.

No exaggeration - this is probably some of the best programming in the history of television.

My Dad's awesome a hard working man but I have to say Dave was my second Dad 🌄 Ps Mujibur was and still is my favorite. Peace bro 👍
I got passport photos taken at their photo shop back in the ‘90s! I think it was Sirajul who helped me but I’m not 100% sure.

Pretty sad that The Summit in Houston, where my Rockets used to play, is now Joel Osteen's Lakewood Megachurch. 😐
