The fact the Cardinals continue to play Matt Carpenter, a guy who has hit above .200 exactly once in the last 7 years and Dylan Carlson arguably the worst overall player in baseball(.128avg) shows you this franchise no longer cares. Such a joke of an organization it's become.
Don't you recognize Mozelliak's brilliance? 38-year-old Carpenter provides the "spark" to the abysmal collection of talent remaining that Mo has managed not to trade away the past few years. Carlson is one in the long line of mediocre outfielders worth nothing, since they produce at best at replacement level, and no team would want to build a future around them.
Rockies would be a .500 team if our bullpen didn't throw away so many games in the 8th and 9th innings. They're thrown away so many games. 5 scoreless for Quantrill then the bullpen comes in an immediately gives up 2 runs. Luckily that was all they gave up to secure the win!
Cards are in the same boat. We've had mediocre pitching for years. But without Molina, it seems steals are free and wild pitches make it to the backboard 75% of the time. Couple that with mediocre hitting and mediocre infield defense.
@@JosiahBerger What players? Tommy Edman? 🤭 Wilson Contreras was playing well, but not that well. It's a sad thing when your catcher is far and away the best hitter on the team. It's called reality.
@@JosiahBerger Enjoy your Kool Aid. Edman average WAR: 3.4, Nootbar 2.0 and Contreras also about 3.5. I find all to be very generous, especially Nootbar, who is the only one on the upside of his career in terms of age (this retarded WAR places next-to-no value on HRs and RBI, which are central offensive values).
Two words for you. Toglia. Robbery. Welcome back, kid! If anything, this win is just a sigh of relief after the most devastating series of the season. Cal pitched great again and Buddy pulled him at the right time. Great challenge in the 3rd, too. Honestly, it's all the little things that built up through the game. Time to focus again. That 5 game losing streak doesn't need to happen again. Start small, win again tomorrow. Sell the team. Go Rockies💜🖤
Watching the Cardinals is just painful! Grey is loosing his stuff, walking batters, wild piches, etc...Carpenter just running aimlessly around, Goldy continuing to go downhill, oh and let's pinch hit Carlson who couldn't hit a beach ball! So sad what this franchise has become, not even a .500 ballclub in the worse division in baseball!
Can't trade Goldy or Arenado without their agreement as they both have no trade clauses. Frankly, if we traded Arenado the fans would riot. It would easily be the end of Mozeliak and Marmol. Arenado is the one shining deal front office has made in a mediocre decade of dealing talent to other teams.
@@davidjames5448 Can you people figure out some day that the talent level due to idiotic organizational policy/decisions are the problem, and not the coaching at the highest level? Mozelliak should have been dumped years ago.
Cardinals get Bad management again, What 2nd inning Carpenter on 1st guy at bat that's awesome at bunting, but nooo he swings away with no outs and Flys out, Cap says at 1st then gets picked off..🤦🏻♂️ , next batter singles.. now with 2 outs.. Mo's gotta go...
What world are you living in? We are doing ok but the lineups Marmol is choosing is just baffling. I think we are going to finish much better than last year and could even potentially get the wild card spot but as an organization and a ball club we deserve and should be so much more. We COULD BE so much more. We have such great talent on the field and our manager doesnt know how to use it and its just bad deal after bad trade... we have 11 WS for Christ sake
@@adamlorentz8569 No, they don't have anywhere near great talent. They are scraping the bottom of the league in that regard. Mo is the problem, not Marmol, nor any of the other coaches who struggled to win after Mo dumps all the young talent and runs the org according to LaRussa's antiquated and flawed talent policies (a.k.a. cheap free agents).
When Nolan Arenado worked for his trade out of Denver, could he have imagined the Cardinals would be just as bad year in and year out as the Rockies??? Nolan should have stayed in Denver where he belonged. Great win for the Rockies 💜
I bet he feels so bad having went to the playoffs two years in a row meanwhile his old team refuses to actually get better. Last year they had Brent Suter having a crazy good year, last year before he becomes a free agent. Every single losing team other than the Rockies would've traded him. Instead he finishes out with the Rockies and signs for his hometown Reds. That's just one example, they hold onto everyone. Even Trevor Story, they hold onto him for a supplimental first round pick while most people thought they should trade him. Daniel Bard has a career resurgent season in his mid 30s. What do the Rockies do? Trade him? Nope, extend him. That turned out miserably. I hope you get the point by now. Stop blaming Arenado for being unhappy losing and be unhappy with how your team is run.
I don't blame Arenado, he was thinking of Nolan and only Nolan. Hey, he's the one who signed that contract knowing how the Rockies run their organization. I just find it rather amusing that the Cardinals are not the team Nolan expected they would be when he arrived. I'm a Red Sox fan that lives in Rockies territory, so I keep tabs on the team only.....

For a first baseman/corner outfielder that was a very smooth play on the robbery.

Cardinals give us faith only for it to be turned down. That’s the summary of the cardinals season last year and this year
There's no faith in that level of organizational talent when compared to the Cards' competitors.
Why did you guys have to be so negative, it’s still early in the season and you know what we can still do especially when we get our players back
