I was getting at my wits end to say the least! I can't believe I didn't even see it as much as I've been looking at every possible scenario and it's just up in there where most people would miss it! Needless to say I'm hopeful this IS the issue ...I replaced my crankshaft and camshaft censors and was now fixing to replace all the connectors albeit a new wire harness! Clay, I hate to tell you, but the ‘04 and earlier Escapes are not equipped with the Fuel Pump Driver Control Module-only from ‘05 on. This is important because someone will go down a rabbit hole trying to find one. lol

I'll let you know what I find. Nice thing in Texas, they don't have to de-ice the roads with rock salt, etc so it's a clean project.
@@sharpcarcoI had same issue replaced pump and filter seemed fixed and now doing same thing again. I can hear fuel pump tho. Only code I'm getting is fuel rail pressure sensor circuit a
2010 Ford escape here. For about 2 years... it's had an issue where it sometimes just cuts-off completely. About three times over the course of the last year.... the engine has just cut-off while stopped at a red light or stop-sign. But it usually still runs "like normal." It has also has issues trying to start the first time after fueling up at a gas station. And I guess you could describe the idle as a bit "rough." Those are the symptoms. I'm not sure if this is fuel pump, fuel module, or something else. All I know is Ford quoted me over $1000 to replace the fuelpump, but I'd hate to pay that if that's not even the actual issue.
The evaporator system is not releasing fuel vapors correctly. Can’t really tell you how to fix it, but it’s a common problem through all manufacturers.
Great helper, but I can not locate anything on my 2003 escape between pump and injectors, aside replaced "regulator filter" on line. Start well after long time, but gets harder after, so third or fourth time my PVC tube blows off with smoke.... changed so many sensors !
Had/Have an 04 escape that ran as well as an escape can run with right over 240k miles. A few years ago I parked it behind the garage, jumped in my sisters car and gave her a ride to buy a new vehicle, and in doing so I got to just keep her old one 🤙 Well as of a couple days ago a friend’s vehicle broke down and he was looking for something dirt cheap to buy as it would only be temporary.. So I told him about this escape I literally parked 3 or so years ago and need to scrap while prices are up, or sell it to him for half the cost of the new 3 years ago tires that were on it lol. So I told him $300 and it’s all yours bud. For sure it’s needs a battery and we might wanna drain some fuel depending how much it’s got in it.. So a new battery goes in, fuel tank shows dam near empty which makes sense as I knew my days driving it were numbered.. Checked all fluids and wires/connections we could see (mice suck) everything check out good. Roll the key over to run, let the gauges bounce and do their thing.. Attempt to start. Turns but no fire. Roll the key a few times to prime lines, attempt to start and still nothin. Fuel pump is not turning on, all fuses are good, relay seems to be temperamental as it clicks sometimes and others it won’t. Swap with the one next to it and like the other most times it does the same thing. I guess now I’ll try smacking the tank bottom; and test or most likely replace this module.. Thanks for the detailed vid!
No problem but if you wanna make sure it’s the fuel pump just spray some ether or brake cleaner inside the intake make sure it fires up and after it runs for a couple moments that your pump may start working just a thought since it’s been sitting luckily that your pump is easy to change if it Hass to be changed it’s just underneath the seat
Loved this video, I think this is the part I need and installing tomorrow. Only note I have is the inertia switch/fuel reset switch. Most Fords have had them since the 90s. I'm working on an '08 so the pump is a bit different but I've replaced it. Pump runs intermittent, cranks but won't start without fluid, rough idle, stalls out after a few minutes or when you give it gas. Don't think its the regulator, easy to replace though. Again awesome video and thanks for posting.
Thank you for all the information. It wad very helpful. Now I need to put it in motion. I'm an older woman but I think I can do it. I will let you know!\0/
How do you check the timing on a 2003 Ford Escape. Crank but no start issue. Can hear the fuel pump fine and coil packs are recieving power. Got the v6 in it.
My 06 Ford Escape V6 started a small gas leak after full fill up. Any suggestion? Fuel neck maybe? I did not have the same issue as on this video but was very helpful just to figure out what is where... Thank you
I would think it’s possible the ring on the top of the fuel pump is leaking so all you would have to do is pull up the backseat right there and take the cover off when you fill it up and if you see gas coming out there and it’s the seal around the fuel pump should be pretty easy to figure out
I need help with finding my fuel pump control module. Its an 02 Ford Escape and have looked all over the rear end and around the tank for it. Please help me Clay.
Easy way to test this control module is to just unplug it and see if the vehicle starts. It will start but will quit when you step on the gas. May have to spray starting fluid as he shows to get it to start. Will idle.
How does the bracket holding the module come off? Both bolts are seized up and the T30's are too rotten to get a grip on. I can only see one bolt in the center of the bracket, are there more im missing? I was hoping to get the bracket off to drill/grind the screws out or something but i cant tell if there are spot welds because of the rust.
Sorry about not getting back to you sooner Yes that’s very common I ended up breaking mine and I just did it opposite tying it back up on one of them that idea the other one it came out OK
Great Video.... So far everytime I drive it, My 2005 Escape will run ok for about 15 minutes then starts missing or sputtering and quickly stalls for a second then fires back up.. and keeps going then does that again. intermittently....sometime if I'm going slow speed it just stalls out completely and I have to start it again. I'm afraid it is gonna stall out and leave me stranded. Could this be the control module? Sometimes it just cranks with no start.
Well that’s easy to tell Darrell if you listen by the fuel pump you will hear it cutting in and out if this was the problem but more than likely you may have a different issue so I would recommend having it scanned because you could have a EGR that is not flowing properly or possibly a vacuum leak of some sort so I wouldn’t narrow it down to that right yet
I have exactly the same problem. Except fuel pump was change new, spark plugs and all ignition coils and the fuel pressure sensor. We will run the scanner to read the codes.
Yeah I paid about $100 for mine but from what I’ve been told they do not have them installed on the 2001 to 2004 models so you’ll just have to take a look and see if you have one like I did
i tried the tank whacking thing . . . theres a shield around it and i cant bang dorectly on the tank . also , i could not locate the FPDM under my escape . this " free " ford is killin me .
Help.. My Escape has a fuel return line. Vehicle starts if gas peddle applied. Will not idle. Used to start easy.. no gas peddle needed. Suddenly fried now. New fuel pump installed... Same problem wont idle.
Great video, really appreciate it! is there any way to know whether 2007 Ford Escape XLS 2.3L Engine comes with or w/o vapor recovery system? I will be really grateful.
It pretty much Hass to have a vapor recovery system all cars have them they’re pretty much in the same location. th-cam.com/video/AFTpcyer_aE/w-d-xo.html
I can’t remember exactly, but yes, you do usually end up breaking the bolts… it needs to be fastened securely to something with a lot of zip ties.. I don’t remember if it has to be grounded but you can always try it. It won’t hurt anything it just won’t work correctly.
@@sharpcarco i changed the module escape ran for about 20 minutes could it be that i did change the fuel pump out of a newer pump could that make it hold back on the fuel getting to the motor when i touched the gas peddle it quit and wouldnt start again
It’s rare that the fuel pump is bad. I know they sell a lot of them but I think a lot of people change them and the module is bad. Did you get a new or used module? There is a big difference. The used ones will still have the same problem the last time I bought one at AutoZone was a little bit over $100. I know they’re pricey but it’s well worth it.
@@sharpcarco the new pump was a bit different then the one that was in the old pump gonna try swapping the back the original one back to see if it it helps
First off I’m assuming you checked the fuses, You don’t have any security problems? You’re not out of gas? I know it’s a silly question but you would be surprised Has it ever been any accidents which would’ve damaged wires which would’ve caused this problem? What was the last repair you did on it did they caused a problem that is now creating this one. I don’t know your level of expertise but you might wanna get somebody to help you with it if These things don’t help because you could run around in circles it’s very difficult to answer this type of question over a text message
When I turn my key I hear my fuel pump for a few seconds does that mean it's good then I took the power off my alternator reconnected it and then all the sudden I started having that issue the motor just turning over only but no it won't start
Can adding a fuel injection fluid & more fresh gas to the gas tank before tapping on the bottom of the fuel tank (as you described) help the car start? I'd appreciate an immediate response. A friend is trying to get his 2006 escape hybrid start as I an writing this comment/question. Thank you
He had the fuel pump replaced about 8 months ago but due to the covid-19, the car was parked for months. He towed the car to the mechanic. The mechanic recharged the hybrid battery. Both batteries are good. Mechanic suggested fuel pump issue as the reason for car not starting. Mechanic did not do any diagnostic work on fuel pump because owner did not have money to do additional diagnostic work. Owner wants to get the car to start so he can take it to his house or to another mechanic. Can he temporarily get the car to start? If yes, how? Thank u
I don’t know where you got that I was adding fuel injection fluid to the gas tank I was spraying it in the intake…… which will start the car if it is not receiving fuel from the fuel pump. Hitting the bottom of the gas tank makes a worn out fuel pump brushes contact the armature of the sending unit making the sending unit come on. I would feel like I certainly explained this in the video. Hope that helps
Clay, thank you very much for the info. I think there is not enough battery charge to get the car to crank enough. When the ignition is turned on, the lights come on and the battery gage is in the center. Is that the ideal location for the battery gage? He is also using a jump. cable & charging from another car to help the smaller battery under the hood so it does not die. He pushed the charging button next to the driver door. After about 8 min of charging, the charging button started to flash. He turned the ignition on but the crank was weak and only lasted for 2-3 seconds. My question is how can he get the hybrid battery charged enough to allow for the car to crank & hopefully start? Does he need to repeat the recharging process (pushing the button and waiting for 8 min.) then repeating the recharging process without trying to turn the ignition on so the hybrid battery can have enough charge before trying to turn the ignition on? How many times does he have to repeat the recharge (pushing the button cycle)? Please help! Thank you
@@Highabove01 Hopefully this is old new but at least two times and sometimes up to three. For me, I had to have a battery charger connected to my 12 volt battery at the same time cause after pressing the button for two cycles, it drained my 12volt battery down to around 10 volts.
would a 2003 Ford Taurus have that fuel pump driver module ? it has the same engine and is front wheel drive like the Escape . i ask because i have a Taurus with a bad tranny i hoped to use for parts .
No I don’t believe they started putting the fuel pump driver module in them till 2004 I’m not sure why. I read your other message it sounds like quite possibly have a bad fuel pump but what you can do is pop open the air filter box and have somebody turn it over and spray a little bit of starting fluid or brake cleaner inside there and if it fires up it’s because your fuel pump is not being turned on so make sure you press your inertia switch . If I remember correctly it is located on the passenger floorboard front near the “A”pillar Hope you get it going welcome to the channel
@@sharpcarco i check the inertia swtich after watching your video about it . already tried the starting fluid , starts right up , doesn't run long but starts immediately . guess i'm buying a fuel pump .
I keep getting code for valve and or selnoid i replaced both checked all vacuum lines replaced 2.reset the matience light came back on same code.what it does.one minute i can get in it and it start right up the next time no start like its not getting gas.i spray starter in intake starts right up.
Great video...extremely informative. I have a '98 Lincoln Continental that experiences a periodic crank no start. I found that sometimes when turning the key to the 'ON' position, there is no initializing of the fuel pump ( in other words, I can't hear the fuel pump prime for 2 seconds ). Also, there are times after starting the vehicle that the engine has a rough idle...usually, returning to normal after about a minute of run time. Could this be a faulty fuel pump driver module? Could the fuel pump be failing, or maybe a faulty inertia switch? I'd appreciate any opinions & information that you could offer. Thanks...it's much appreciated!
@The Clay Way Hi Clay, appreciated the video. BUT my 2003 mazda tribute is currently sitting with the fuel pump out and the mechanic that came to see it said that if it wasn't spitting gas out when he tried to crank, then the fuel pump was bad? is that true, even if the car wont start? should gas still is that a way to tell the pump doesn't work anymore?
Yes you can send 12 V of power and a ground to the pump and see if it spins if it spins more than likely it is good I see it that way because if your pumps can run for a couple of moments then not run I’m pretty sure this is a video that explains that it has a fuel pump controller that goes defective on these all the time so I would definitely check into that if the pump works when you send power and ground to it . If this isn’t the video I have video on that
@@sharpcarco thank you! & yes I was very confused on what you meant by “controller”?? Where can I find that at, or the video on where’s that located? If gas isn’t spitting thru the two connecters does this mean it no longer works is what I was trying to ask as well. Thank you for the response!
It’s actually in the video that you commented about Possible reasons Ford Escape will not start / fuel pump driver control module/ diagnose repair great
So if fuel pump is and 8ssue or that module wouldnt a code reader show a fault code and would this happen all of a sudden in the -40 weather.2008 ford escape was fine until then now crank no fire then did run and we let it run for 20 minutes then turned off next day happen again crank but no start
Well you always want to check and make sure that it’s actually a fuel delivery problem by spraying some carb cleaner or brake cleaner in it or starting fluid if it starts up then you definitely have a fuel problem but it could also be your fuel pressure sensor as well
I have a Ford escape V6 2005 129k miles limited. I have been driving since 2016 .it's my most important way of moving to my dyalsis center 3 times a week and also for groceries and laundry.. I ve a hip replacement a polio virus since childhood and other big issues of health. The car is giving me hard time since 2020 All of sudden it blew fuse 8 ( a pink 30 amp 32 volt for PCM in engine compartment) first few days we could not figure out why all of a sudden the engine died all the lights turns on but when try to start no sound no click .my friend is a mechanic but he couldn't find any solution then a machanic who works on street came change the wire coming from crank sensor (he thought the wire is broken and replaced it ) change the fuse 8 and car started .two days it ran fine and blew the fuse again.bought new but after 3 days that was too gone I was in the middle of nowhere swipe the next fuse ( green one 40amp for wipers ) and car started came home but after two days again blew .I went to advance auto parts to get a new fuse some how this time I find a 30 amp pink cartage fuse but this time it was different from inside it had a resistor .I put that and I did work for few months. Now since it's very hot .again vehicle has started again blowing fuse Today my machanic friend again change the same crank sensor wire .but during this blew 3 more new fuses ( each cartage fuse cost -$6:50 ) car started move but again jerk .I knew it's gonna blew the fuse again so I pulled it on side street of gas station and workshop Took the bus and come back home .I think there is a short wire somewhere and only an electrician can find out the problem.

As for your car, try tap on the gas tank ...if start, likely fuel pump. note: fuel pump are easy to change(15 minutes at most).
PLEASE HELP ME. my car has a major fuel issue. I’ve replaced everything fuel related including this part and it ran great after I changed it. For about 50 miles. Now, it runs so rich it won’t even crank and you can literally smell fresh fuel out of the exhaust. I don’t understand. If I create a big vacuum leak it will run but not we’ll. Car starts fine cold.. After hot soak car refuses to start. If you wait an hour it starts back up fine. First time replaced fuel pump and it has been fine for 3 years. Now it is doing the same again. Guess it is time for another fuel pump.
Well, before I did that, I would check the fuel pressure module like I described in this video, and the catalytic converter’s fuel pumps are not known to go out of these things. Of course, it’s very possible but I’ve several Ford escapes that came into the shop with new fuel pumps, and that wasn’t the problem so they wasted your money before they brought them to me
I got a Mazda tribute 2003 I have an issue where after putting fuel into the vehicle it will not start it just cranks after turning off back on and waiting 10 seconds the car starts I'm wondering if anybody out there can help me understand what this issue is I have replaced my fuel filter checked all the fuses and relays I haven't checked the pump yet I will now after watching this video but I do not have any issue while the vehicle is running so it might not be that it is only when I put fuel in the car any amount of fuel directly after this the vehicle has the issue
You’re putting too much fuel inside it it is vapor locking sorry I seen this message a couple of days ago and it was a little bit too busy to think about what your problem is that’s a very common problem with the emission systems I’m actually going to make a video on that that is going to be very very hilarious and informative Like I said very sorry about not getting back to you a couple days ago that is a very common problem and you will be OK just do not Top off your tank anymore by holding the gas until you can’t get any more gas inside it or at least that’s what happened in the past and why you have that situation now
That is quite often the case when an EGR valve is bad but I obviously can’t say for certain over a text message it needs to be scanned so the technician can read the live data to figure out what is going on.
Your power and ground wire you ran to the 2 pump wires should of powered your pump . The driver module cuts the power before the pump , you were bypassing that and putting power to your pump . You can pull the plug on the module jump the ground and power basiclly doing what you did running those wires .Doesn't make sense your wires you ran didn't power that pump.
Well I guess if I was trying to prove something other than that it was not the pump……. That was the point of running the wires was to show that it wasn’t the pump but maybe I misunderstand what you’re saying I’m sometimes stupid so….
Are you often whining while you’re standing in the Welfare line? I’ll be willing to bet so…. Go watch somebody else’s free video….. sorry to take up so much of your precious time doing nothing

You’re very welcome and welcome to the channel we’re very happy to have you
Had/Have an 04 escape that ran as well as an escape can run with right over 240k miles.
Thanks for taking the Time to comment I greatly appreciate it Ryan
Killing it man. KILLING IT
❤️☺️Not really but I try . Thank you very much
Thanks A LOT! Really appreciate this info. Incredibly helpful. I subscribed to your channel immediately
I thank you it's a big help for me
This is a very informative video
Thanks Chris I appreciate the kind words and welcome to the Channell we’re happy to have you
Thank you for all the information. It wad very helpful. Now I need to put it in motion. I'm an older woman but I think I can do it. I will let you know!\0/
I’m certain you can do it !!!! thank you for the kind words
Very helpful! But what's with the little random facts at the bottom of your video , they are hilarious!!!
How do you check the timing on a 2003 Ford Escape. Crank but no start issue. Can hear the fuel pump fine and coil packs are recieving power. Got the v6 in it.
Sorry never had to do timing on a Ford Escape I’m on so many of them I’ve never had it be a problem one time
@@sharpcarco good to know I have witnessed many people saying that its a timing chain jump. Inertia switch should be it I got 90% positivity.
Thanks for the video
My 06 Ford Escape V6 started a small gas leak after full fill up. Any suggestion? Fuel neck maybe? I did not have the same issue as on this video but was very helpful just to figure out what is where... Thank you
I would think it’s possible the ring on the top of the fuel pump is leaking so all you would have to do is pull up the backseat right there and take the cover off when you fill it up and if you see gas coming out there and it’s the seal around the fuel pump should be pretty easy to figure out
Liberation from the bottom and correct size impact up top for torx bolts!
Well Explained
Nice escape
Do an 03 Mazda Tribute hv a pump driver cause I don't see it on the driver's frame rail
No
Great tutorial.. is it possible to by-pass that module?
Not that I’m aware of
I need help with finding my fuel pump control module. Its an 02 Ford Escape and have looked all over the rear end and around the tank for it. Please help me Clay.
Really really sorry it does not have one. When I made the video I was not Not aware that the 2001 to 2003 did not come with them
Easy way to test this control module is to just unplug it and see if the vehicle starts.
Sorry about not getting back to you sooner
Yes that’s very common I ended up breaking mine and I just did it opposite tying it back up on one of them that idea the other one it came out OK
P.s I was stranded 3 times already. The fuel control module is 100 at automatic store. I'm losing my mind with my escape.
Yeah I paid about $100 for mine but from what I’ve been told they do not have them installed on the 2001 to 2004 models so you’ll just have to take a look and see if you have one like I did
sounds like the idle air control valve
Needed you to try to start up the vehicle be4 you work on it so I can no if it's doing same thing mine is doing
Good video
Look great but I just can find my fuel pump so far.... on escape 2003. Start to run funky and burn fuel.
So, the wire was wrapped in a Faraday material?
Does the fuel pump have to be in the gas to run or can it just be plugged in and run?
I have a 2.3 06 tribute new fp and injectors but drive it for a while you skow down it shuts off why could it be ingnition coils
i tried the tank whacking thing . . . theres a shield around it and i cant bang dorectly on the tank .
also , i could not locate the FPDM under my escape .
this " free " ford is killin me .
Hey, great video! I had a question, what wires did you tap into on the pump to get that reading on your power probe?
Well that’s the good thing about the power probe you can probe each one of the wires and it won’t hurt anything
Thanks alot

@@sharpcarco Thank you so much, appreciate it.
hey does the fuel driver module have to be grounded to the car just wondering connot get the old one off
I can’t remember exactly, but yes, you do usually end up breaking the bolts… it needs to be fastened securely to something with a lot of zip ties..
Am working on Ford escape 2016, the injectors are not spraying but the injectors are good. What could be the reason
First off I’m assuming you checked the fuses,
You don’t have any security problems?
You’re not out of gas? I know it’s a silly question but you would be surprised
Has it ever been any accidents which would’ve damaged wires which would’ve caused this problem?
What was the last repair you did on it did they caused a problem that is now creating this one.
I don’t know your level of expertise but you might wanna get somebody to help you with it if These things don’t help because you could run around in circles it’s very difficult to answer this type of question over a text message
Thanks!
You’re very welcome we’re happy to have you thank you very much for sending the comment
When I turn my key I hear my fuel pump for a few seconds does that mean it's good then I took the power off my alternator reconnected it and then all the sudden I started having that issue the motor just turning over only but no it won't start
where can you get one for a good price
If I remember correctly it is located on the passenger floorboard front near the “A”pillar
Hope you get it going welcome to the channel
@@sharpcarco i check the inertia swtich after watching your video about it . already tried the starting fluid , starts right up , doesn't run long but starts immediately .
guess i'm buying a fuel pump .
Sounds like it .
Does a 2002 mazda tribute have yhe same thing or no
Yes.
Yes you can send 12 V of power and a ground to the pump and see if it spins if it spins more than likely it is good
I see it that way because if your pumps can run for a couple of moments then not run
I’m pretty sure this is a video that explains that it has a fuel pump controller that goes defective on these all the time so I would definitely check into that if the pump works when you send power and ground to it .
It’s actually in the video that you commented about
Possible reasons Ford Escape will not start / fuel pump driver control module/ diagnose repair great
So if fuel pump is and 8ssue or that module wouldnt a code reader show a fault code and would this happen all of a sudden in the -40 weather.2008 ford escape was fine until then now crank no fire then did run and we let it run for 20 minutes then turned off next day happen again crank but no start
Well you always want to check and make sure that it’s actually a fuel delivery problem by spraying some carb cleaner or brake cleaner in it or starting fluid if it starts up then you definitely have a fuel problem but it could also be your fuel pressure sensor as well
So was the real issue the wiring or the fuel pump control module
No the issue was not the wiring on the fuel pump.
I have a Ford escape V6 2005 129k miles limited. I have been driving since 2016 .it's my most important way of moving to my dyalsis center 3 times a week and also for groceries and laundry.. I ve a hip replacement a polio virus since childhood and other big issues of health. The car is giving me hard time since 2020
All of sudden it blew fuse 8 ( a pink 30 amp 32 volt for PCM in engine compartment) first few days we could not figure out why all of a sudden the engine died all the lights turns on but when try to start no sound no click .my friend is a mechanic but he couldn't find any solution then a machanic who works on street came change the wire coming from crank sensor (he thought the wire is broken and replaced it ) change the fuse 8 and car started .two days it ran fine and blew the fuse again.bought new but after 3 days that was too gone I was in the middle of nowhere swipe the next fuse ( green one 40amp for wipers ) and car started came home but after two days again blew .I went to advance auto parts to get a new fuse some how this time I find a 30 amp pink cartage fuse but this time it was different from inside it had a resistor .I put that and I did work for few months. Now since it's very hot .again vehicle has started again blowing fuse
Today my machanic friend again change the same crank sensor wire .but during this blew 3 more new fuses ( each cartage fuse cost -$6:50 ) car started move but again jerk .I knew it's gonna blew the fuse again so I pulled it on side street of gas station and workshop
Took the bus and come back home .I think there is a short wire somewhere and only an electrician can find out the problem.
hello Clay, my 2001 Mazda 4wd 3.0 tribute having the same problem, randomly die... doe this vehicle have fuel pump driver control module. If so, where is it located?
Mounted on the drivers side i front of rear wheel mounted on back of gas tank
Same problem.

@@danielpolidoro8484 , My 2001 Mazda Tribute too, can't find DCM either. I replaced both the fuel pump(pull off an old escape from my local junkyard, $27) and a new $8 fuel filter a few month ago, had not die since. As for your car, try tap on the gas tank ...if start, likely fuel pump. note: fuel pump are easy to change(15 minutes at most).
Sorry there not one there till 2004
PLEASE HELP ME. my car has a major fuel issue. I’ve replaced everything fuel related including this part and it ran great after I changed it. For about 50 miles. Thanks Matt I’ll keep trying
Of course, it’s very possible but I’ve several Ford escapes that came into the shop with new fuel pumps, and that wasn’t the problem so they wasted your money before they brought them to me
@@sharpcarco sorry failed to mention it is a 2004. Assuming it doesn’t have one of those fancy modules. Thank you for the videos !
Second fuel pump replaced - car is doing the same thing! Not sure what else to replace!
Does anyone know why my fuel pump module would continue to keep going bad had to change it 3 times in 30 days
Because of the fuel driver mod is cutting it on and off overheating it
My fuel control module is what I've replaced 3 times. Sorry I said fuel pump module

You’re putting too much fuel inside it it is vapor locking sorry I seen this message a couple of days ago and it was a little bit too busy to think about what your problem is that’s a very common problem with the emission systems I’m actually going to make a video on that that is going to be very very hilarious and informative
Like I said very sorry about not getting back to you a couple days ago that is a very common problem and you will be OK just do not Top off your tank anymore by holding the gas until you can’t get any more gas inside it or at least that’s what happened in the past and why you have that situation now
Did you figured it out?
EVAP purge valve! Problem after fill up or gassing up

I have a 2001 that is a straight drive 4 cylinder. It want fire.
in reply to ur comment below....there is no codes being recorded when it starts missing

02 Mazda Tribute just up and quit while warming up last week and wouldn't start back up. I have replaced the fuel pump twice and checked everything fuel related as well as electrical except this part because I've never heard of it and it was never suggested and all the research that I have done over the last 5 days... I'm really grateful that I found this video by happenstance because I don't know what I would have done new connections if so.. I stopped taking the cars to auto shops since as the old saying goes if you want something done right...I'm done with going that route just to end up throwing money away!!! I will definitely update to let you know that was my issue all along sure sounds like this could be the best explanation...🤞😬
