You’re really coming into your own right about this time. You look free and happy. It’s obvious you don’t belong in a factory. Van life, biking, hiking and cooking …. A recipe for success.
Sitting in a van in a mundane parking lot, talking about his climbing attempts in such a downplaying manner. Then shows a video of some of the most stunning videography I've ever seen. I hope nobody claims that pricy trekking pole.

You make me feel a bit peepy cuz u seem like a true introvert but to show us your life seems like I am violating your privacy. You truly have a special way of living your life. Thanks for the peep shows here and there :)
Hey man great video. Just to clear up what you said about Diesel Heater, I’ve been running mine for nearly a year now and before you turn it off you should put it on high power/high-temperature the last five minutes to burn any soot/deposits that have built up inside the burning chamber from using low heat. So you can run the heater on low heat or medium heat but just at the end before you turn it off run it on high heat for 5-10minutes to burn any of that soot off to stop the burning chamber from clogging up which can stop the glowplug from heating up. Hope that clears it up for you as it must be annoying only using it on full blast, it’s safe to run on low or medium just blast it on max before you shut down. Happy camping
Foresty Forest, keep up the great van and travel vids. Just love them and your great sense of humour. I'm a fellow Canadian of the vintage version and I am envious at your stamina and strength during your travels. Your van has great design features for a single person. Take care and safe travels.
So enjoy your videos! The extent you go to consistently set up your various camera shots are really appreciated ( real physical effort and time not mention a fantastic skill for keeping us captivated), the editing that keeps things moving forward, and your narrative style with humor, honest reflection, your clear concise spoken story progression; thanks so much for bring us along on your journey.
Just so much beauty we have been given on this earth. I just wish we were much better care takers of this gift of beauty we have been given. Thank you Foresty for being such an excellent "Caretaker" of our planet, and sharing the Beauty with us🌟
New subscriber here. I must say this vlog was absolutely AMAZING. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 I mean..... How you managed to stay healthy after all that snow & cold & water is beyond me. Thank you for sharing the beauty of this world
I'm so glad I stumbled across your channel. I'm really enjoying your bike treks and hikes. Your filming of the scenery and your adventures is fantastic!
You need to start selling photos online, you come across these amazing views. People would love to frame some of these beautiful shots and it might be a decent way to make some side cash. Keep up the awesome work dude, love the videos.
Sweet vid! I love hiking poles, especially on ascent / descent. Most of the stuff I've read say using them can easily take 20-25% of the weight off of your legs and feet.
i think his version of homeless is just that he chose not to have a home to pay property taxes or rent to. he probably has a nice bank account and not skimping on the meals that much. This type of life style allowed him to do all the things he wanted with this crazy hike and have zero worry about whether his heating/hydro bills are paid or not.
I love how this guy has such a clear Canadian accent. It really stands out, to me at least. That, and the fact that he makes great videos and inspires us with his exploits....
It sounds like an Ontario accent to me - probably Southeastern Ontario. I may be wrong. I grew up in Edmonton, which to my ear, has a distinct and different accent.
I have been binging on your videos for 3 days now and loving it. I dig your sense of humor and when you laugh at yourself it lifts me up. You don't seem to get upset instead you chuckle about it, figure it out just to see what happens and if it's too much of a risk then you let it go. You are happy with what you did accomplish and look forward to the next time you make the attempt. I have taken a new interest in my crockpot and can't wait to give some of your recipes a go...especially since you have perfected your deep dish pizza. I have a grandson who watches along with me (he's watched other hiking videos but not interested nearly as much as yours...a huge compliment to you) and wants to help me cook in the crockpot and go hiking some more! The Tao of Foresty Forest...and Not Your Ordinary Crockpot Cooking! Thanks for sharing!
I have been watching several of your latest videos which are Great!!! 😀😃 (Since I just recently found your channel.) I decided to watch some older ones and you do not disappoint!!!! Scenery Gorgeous and the hikes are just Awesome!! And trying to find the owner of the hiking pole. You area a Stand-Up Guy!!!!! Enjoy and be safe!!!!
Thanks for sharing. Your diesel heater is working well. They are very straight forward to work on and you may want to replace the filter every year. Also i burn Kerosene when available and run mine on low alot, ive had my present wabaso for 8 seasons. Safe travels!
I would like to say you really beautiful footage of the mountains the landscape is so awesome to see your footage thank you so much for bringing your life to my living room it's beautiful I love the scenery
Great video as usual. Have you considered using youtube's "end cards" to advertise your other videos? It might increase your watch time and help this great channel grow even faster. Just a thought. Thanks for the entertaining and scenic videos.
I recognise the area. Your behind the save on foods in Canmore. So many van lifers there they call it Vanmore. Cougar creek is one of my favorite spots! The changes from the flood in 2015 made it better!
"when you take advantage of something, you loose it". That is some awesome wisdom there to live by! You are a good person and I hope my impression of you from the videos are true and so far you haven't disappointed me. Are you planning to move on to BC?

Another amazing video! 👍 Just curious, have you ever thought about creating a business, where you would take a group of people on neat adventures, as a tour guide? Biking, hiking, camping. You'd be a terrific tour guide! I was thinking, if you ran a business like that for part of the year, then it would financially afford you to go on your own adventures for part of the year. You're the perfect candidate for that type of business! Then you'll never have to get some random job to make money. You'll have your own business doing what you love, being outdoors. 🚵
I have a feeling Forest doesn't want to be tied down to all the red tapes of owning a business where for example if a crazy accident happens during the adventure is there insurance or does he need the people to sign paperwork all that stuff. He can take people with similar passion on an adventure definitely, it just can't be a business.
@@LightBrand I think it's a great idea and one Foresty would like to do! Some simple liability insurance negates all your concerns! Having your own business and doing it your way is literally the opposite of being tied down. Working random jobs is being tied down!
Cool video. I've been checking out van life videos for the last couple of months. Yours has the added distinction of having a lot of Great Outdoors shots. Keep living the dream, brother.
luv ur channel man!!! I have the $130.00 8k deisel heater advertised thats an all in one unit w/4 outlets i've been running since oct 2019 full time, only problem i had was a plugged up home made mower exhuast i fabbed up at first. since i took off the can and fogged out a country mile for bout an hr its been running flawlessly lol. i did also add a mr. gasket v-8 valve cover filter w/hose clamp to filter the intake air and thru that crappy one away! a full tank lasts me about 24hrs bac and forth from low setting to 1/2 cranked up and just cooks me w/no insulation in my 14' step van in 20-30deg outside tempetures. when i power it down to goto work i crank it up on high for 5min or longer to clean it out... luv it!!!
Real glad I found this channel, as a Canadian who's very interested in the van life and wanting to explore the backyard we have up here someday it's great watching a fellow Nuck experience it first.
