Just had my first successful head-tracking flights today and it was awesome! There is no way that would have happened without your how-to videos on setting it up. Thanks for the great content.
Very good landing, I was thinking: "isn't he loosing too much speed" but it was the right move given the narrow patch of "landable" grass. Very well performed!
Thanks yes it takes some getting use to finding the right flight envelope with the jets. They are very heavy and have a lot of drag. It's more about riding just above the stall using the throttle with this one
Well, that was golden hour Andrew....Kudos for timing the landing flare out so well. Its so much harder doing it FPV...Plane flies so well though have to say....🤔😏😀🇬🇧
Yes just a couple of aluminum plates it's better for the formation stuff. Iv 3d printed a base for the air unit so it can sit underneath also. Therefore when it pings off it won't rip the camera off and it lifts the camera up again for formation view 😁
@@AndyRCchannel Great engineering, too! You are awesome at customizing gear to suit your uses. I am still looking forward to your drift car video on a course with other drifters😉
Nice one Andy. I haven't got that brave with any of my jets yet. Taking off and flying will be easy but getting them on the ground without smashing the U/C off worries me a bit. Have you got any tips?
I find landing fpv with the edf much easier to judge. It depends how long your runway is and the jet you are flying but the hawk has quite a nice glide slope you just have to make sure it doesn't stall on the flair. I did this by finding where the stall was in the air and notice where my throttle position is. When the wings start to rock give it plenty of throttle and that's the stall. Then just make sure you stay above that for the landing. Use flaps if you have them for lift and stability
No I don't get any drift. I find version 0.9 of the head tracker just seems to work so iv never upgraded but iv heard from friends they struggle with drift a lot. I wouldn't attempt to fly an edf if there was any drift as you can't take your hands off the controls
@@Silver-Fox-RC I use the the bdi / d2a analogue adapter board to house and power it which I do think gives it nice clean power and gets it away from any interference

Yess! More fpv rc pilots more fun
Ah that is super news. Enjoy

Yes it's the best flying efd iv flown so far. And yes lucky with the weather that doesn't happen often around here. Thanks for watching
Amazing flying, Andy!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
The landing made my stomach go all funny 😂
I just wear brown pants. Problem solved
😂😂😂
EDF marries FPV. Gotta love it. Thanks for sharing.
yes its definitely a nice new challenge :)
Great flying! Thanks for the shoutout on the BAG. Looks like you added a lever to extend reach of the camera over the sides?

@@motionsic yes I need to do some 3d printing I keep putting it off
@@AndyRCchannel seeing how Mad’s Tech and Walksnail are getting on the head tracker band wagon on cars. Your drift car video could be very timely…
@@motionsic I haven't seen it however I have seen the gimbal. I think your servos probably do a better job and are smaller for what we do
Hey man. Good to see you posting again.
Pretty cool! Thanks for the ride.
Looks like so much fun!
Great flying, great presentation.
Lovely flying Andy!
Mint mate!!

Damn, I was nervous for you. Wow, way cool. I might have to look into this.
haha yes done it few times now thanks but not much room for error
cool! do you have some drift with head tracker??
